For a couple of minutes, to load or unload your luggage, your car can stay directly in front of the hotel. Our front office staff will then show you the way to one of the public garages nearby (additional charges apply). At the restaurant Zum Spreisel in the same building but under separate management, you enjoy regional and international dishes. During warm weather your meal is also served outside on the terrace in front of the hotel.

Our stay was quite unfortunate. Let me start with the good points: The location of the hotel is perfect for tourists. Our rooms had a river view and the view was great. The city of Heidelberg had generally problems with Wifi, but the hotel offered a nicely working wifi. Now, the negative comments: Firstly, the hotel staff was not helpful and they were not welcoming. We especially had some communication problems with the front office staff Mr. Huber (staff member at the breakfast was an exception, he was very smiling and happy to assist us. Upon check in, he told us that the breakfsst situation in the hotel, whether there would be a breakfast or not, was unsure and they will decide it according to the number of customers. WE WERE VERY LUCKY, because there were “enough” guests and a breakfast buffet was ready. We experienced something we didn’t encounter before at any hotel. After check in, Mr. Huber told us tuat there will be a water outage in the morning for 4 hours. Because of this, we needed to fill in the garbage boxes and water glasses inside the room to use. LUCKILY the problem was solved early and we only had 30-40 minutes of water problem. In short, the hotel is NOT OKAY for long accommodations and for those who want to spend time in the facility. If you only want to use the hotel to sleep at night, you can book a room.

Great location located near all historic sites and shopping. A short walk to restaurants and stores. The hotel is located with a great view of the river. Staff is super friendly and the rooms are spacious with nice linens. Parking is located a short distance away.

First, this hotel is in an amazing location and is just as picturesque in person as it looks online. Staff was all very nice and helpful. Check in and check out were easy. Parking is off site but wasn't a big deal to us. Room was good, ok size for the two of us except the bathroom was small for two people but we made due. The only small things would be the one pillow each, two would have been nice, and hubby thought the bed was a little hard for him. But it was a lovely place to stay and we would stay there again. I heard the river views are spectacular although we did not get one. We did opt for the buffet breakfast which was excellent!

Dear deejenna, Thank you so much for having taken your time to rate our hotel and services here on TripAdvisor in such a positive way. This is more than appreciated. We are thrilled to read you enjoyed staying with us and especially liked our amazing location in the historic heart of Old Town Heidelberg overlooking the Neckar River and the Old Bridge, our very nice and helpful staff members as well as the easy check-in and check out. Due to being located in a historic and landmarked building dating back to 1745 all our rooms differ in size, style and location. Of course we also do have larger bathrooms available. We have a large variety of different pillow styles and sizes available at the front office which is manned 24/7. If we had known that you needed more or different pillow styles of course we would not have had a problem supplying them to you. Thank you also very much for your positive rating about our breakfast buffet. If you revisit Heidelberg in the future we will be more than happy to accommodate you again. Your Hotel Holländer Hof Heidelberg Team.

Brilliantly location in the town centre, which was a perfect place for exploring. Clean and well apportioned, with a good breakfast. The A/C wasn't great so had to have the window open, which isn't ideal given the location. Also didn't need a lecture from the night porter about how to wear a mask, but guess that's the world we live in now! Would stay here again.

Dear Max, Thank you very much for having rated our hotel and services here on TripAdvisor. We are happy to read you enjoyed our unique location in the historic heart of Old Town Heidelberg overlooking the Neckar River and the Old Bridge, our clean and well apportioned rooms as well as our good breakfast. We are sorry to hear you were not happy with our a/c - as the hotel is manned 24/7 we could have looked into the matter right away if only we had know about it. Due to the nationwide Corona and safety regulations to protect both, our guests and our employees, we do our utmost to keep everyone safe and healthy. We are sorry for any inconveniences caused and would be happy to accommodate you again in the future. Your Hotel Holländer Hof Heidelberg Team.

As other reviewers have said, this hotel is a little dated, but the view makes up for it. Our only issue was the comfort of the beds. The bed itself is basic and a bit hard (fine), but the pillows were terrible. My husband and I both had neck aches (we’re in our late 20’s) and joked about going out and buying our own pillows for our remaining 2 nights. Really everything about the hotel is fine, except for the comfort of the bed.

Dear Daydream767375, Thank you very much for having rated our hotel and services here on TripAdvisor. As we are located in a historic and landmarked building dating back to 1745 we combined traditional style with modern spirit while decorating our hotel and rooms. We are more than sorry you found this "a little dated" However all rooms on the 3rd floor are furnished in a very modern design. We are also very sorry to hear you found our matrasses a bit hard. As we have many guests from near and far we chose a medium hardness of the matrass which of course could have been to hard for you. We chose a standard European pillow style for our hotel rooms. If we had only known you were not happy with the pillows we could have exchanged them any time as our front office is manned 24/7 and as we know that all our guests have different sleeping habits, we got a large variety of different pillows and styles available at the front office. We are very sorry for any inconveniences caused. Your Hotel Holländer Hof Heidelberg Team.
