We stayed for the location and a decent room, and the both were perfect. The hotel was less than 2 short blocks from the main road of the old town and the room was basic but we felt safe and secure leaving our bags. The room is basic with no frills. Decent space, decent shower, decent breakfast and nice staff....

We stayed here in October 2010 while we travelled between Amsterdam and Munich. My sister booked this place and asked for accommodation for 4 adults (2 couples). We got 3 rooms, 1 double and 2 singles and a shared a bathroom. It was fine, value for money, fittings and furnishings a bit dated, but very clean and cozy. Breakfast was...

We Stayed here on a 2 day trip to Heidelberg in September 2011 and the service was by far some of the best we had throughout Germany. Friendly welcome and a comfortable room made the stay. Breakfast was included in the room and was a selection of fruit and cold cuts with some fresh baked bread. A great way to...

This hotel is in an ancient building and is very handy for the main square, Castle and University. It also offers free parking. But it is not all that easy to find, and to get from the hotel’s front entrance to the car park requires a degree in orienteering. When I checked in I was told that I could leave...

Great location, affordable basic rooms, and even has an elevator. breakfast is great, and the location is quite safe, even for late night strolls. Cons: no air conditioning, and if you are driving, remember to reserve parking when you reserve the room, or you may have to park quite a long distance from the hotel.

We found this place last minute and chose it al ost because of price based on room, wifi and breakfast but we hit gold. It's a quaint little hotel but the staff were very helpful, it's in the old town but tucked away in anside street so it's quiet. We had am lovely view of the castle from our window....

Although the rooms are very basic for the 92 Eur / night, the fact that the hotel gives you a room on top of a bar with pumping basses until 4 am (which rooms they rent to the bar owner themselves) is a real shame in a historical city like Heidelberg. We didn't sleep a wink until 4 am, until...

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by Michele. If all the employees are like her this hotel will be a successful and friendly place to come back to on future trips. Our room was on the inside courtyard looking towards the castle. We rented the family room (1 double and 2 twins - room 14), the size of...

We stayed at 5 hotels on our recent drive around europe and the Pfalzgrafen was by far and away the worst one, despite being the 2nd most expensive. We arrived late in the afternoon, safe in the knowledge we had booked a parking space ahead, to find a miniscule courtyard within which, in the end, 5 cars had to fit....

We were pleased with this hotel. We were traveling with a baby, and the three-bed room that we were in had lots of space for the baby to crawl around. There was an elevator, which was useful for our stroller. The hotel seemed like a family-run establishment (not sure if this is true or not), and the staff was friendly...
