My wife ended up booking a 2 month stay with Boardinghouse Heidelberg for a business trip with me traveling along and working remotely from there. Much more than a hotel, the apartments in the boarding house feel much more like your own living accommodations for any extended stay. The rooms have large wardrobes, a good size bathroom, and a small... More

I booked a room for a week for my mother and a friend of hers who were visiting. The room was on the first floor of a building different from the one where the reception was (forgot the street number). It was big enough, very clean and nicely furnished with plenty of wardrobe and shelf space for both of the... More

We stayed here for a week. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay -except the wifi coverage, which was quite poor. The hotel is situated in the downtown, so you can quickly reach most of the famous places in Heidelberg. This also means there was quite some traffic on the street next to the... More

Slightly odd setup in that the hotel is spread over several houses. Rooms ok and spacious, beds ok, but pillows not very comfortable (like most continental hotels). Very small desk. Television on wall with BBC etc, but did not use so cannot comment on reception etc. Nice shower, but flooded bathroom as curtain insufficient. Little kitchenette with fridge makes this... More

Boarding House has three buildings. The one at 32 Rohrbacher Str, is modern with a lift and has wi-fi in all the rooms. I don't know about 36 but having gotten the room at 24 Rohrbacher Str. I got to know that it is like an old house with high ceilings, wooden flooring and an old style bed - which... More

Drove from Belgium to Heidelberg arriving early evening. Very easy place to find on Rohrbacher Strabe and plenty of parking. The Studio Rooms were modern, spacious, clean and quiet. Queen sized bed with great mattress. Plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe and very handy kitchenette. The bathroom was small but cleverly designed and towels, hair dryer and soap, shampoo... Went to Heidelberg on business and found the hotel very cosy. The studio was decorated balinese style which was unique. Located near the city centre with nearby restaurants, mall amd high street.

We stayed 2 nights in a "Business Class" suite in June 2011 and for €108 a night enjoyed a clean, well furnished, airy room at the back of the building with pleasant views over the adjacent leafy, backyards of adjoining houses. Located about half a kilometer from the business centre of Heidelberg and reasonably handy to the train station it... More

It's a good furnished apartment with free wi-fi. I couldn't get the breakfast deal but the kitchenette was good so I could prepare my own breakfast. It's close to nice restaurants too (Thai, Italian, Chinese, Indian). A common self-washing facility (washer and dryer) would be helpful for people staying for long terms.

First the good points - Spacious & clean, Very close to the Bismarckplatz (city center), Free high speed internet, polite staff, well-equipped kitchenette. Could be better - The rooms are supposed to be cleaned twice a week. If you are a staying for a long duration, they could forget to clean the room if you don't put out the "clean... More
