We arrived on a very rainy and cold evening and met Naboisha the nicest hotel receptionist we ever had. He was very informative and friendly and offered drinks and help with the luggage. The hotel is very old and beautiful. Everything made of wood , original walls , floors and ceilings, beautiful carpets and furniture. The lobby is so comfortable...

Booked a last minute trip to Garmisch and actually felt very happy with this hotel. Nice entrance and lobby area. Were greeted very friendly by receptionist and although we were early she immediately offered storage for bags and then a map of the town. She also directed us to garage which is around two corners but underground which is useful...

Didn't have breakfast, parking and other things advertised on Expedia. The hotel is good, staff is helpful but should take care of the adds more closely. It's also very central, a bit too much for a backpacker only looking to crash for a night.

I stayed at this as part of a group on our journey back to the UK last September. The hotel has some old world character, but spacious rooms with all the mod cons. We had a group dinner in a large beautiful vaulted room. The cuisine was superb and the steak I had was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was...

Very friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful . We had a problem with our return airline tickets . They helped us out with the computer . Also good advice on places to go as we did not know the area at all . The room has a lovely bathroom but the room itself although very large is dated in...

NO air conditioning and NO WI-FI as was advertised! We could get spotty WI-FI in lobby some times. Even on the free lobby computer, the desk clerk that we asked could not get wi-fi to work!! This is a big deal if you want to book things to do or get on Internet to check menus, reservations, or have connection...

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's in a great location but reccommend at taxi from the train station especially if your bags are heavy. When you walk in it is very grand. We were offered water, juice or champagne on arrival and informed that our room was not quite ready but to make ourselves at home in the comfy...

If you like old world charm and a traditional setting with antique furniture, wooden panelling this hotel is for you. If you like air conditioning, quick internet access, light and bright interiors then you may find this hotel not entirely suitable. The staff are very smart, very professional and the service is high. The breakfasts were very good and the...

We came in January, when Garmish seems like a romantic Christmas town from fairy tales. And the hotel was the same: very fancy, nicely decorated, friendly and nice staff, and good rooms. Really enjoyed it!
