Very nice family owned hotel Rather old fashioned but very nice. They have their own rules though, like check in before 1830 or they lock the front door. But a beautiful view of the castle at night if you walk down the drive way to the road. Totally enjoyed my stay there . however the Wifi is crap.

I'm always reluctant to leave a less-than-glowing review but I'm compelled to be completely honest. My family of four (including two teens) stayed one night to visit the castles early the next day. We stayed in a Quadruple room which was larger than a typical hotel room and had a large balcony with a fantastic view of the mountains and... More

Fantastic location. We were within walking distance of the rather touristy castle area but far enough removed from the castles and the town itself. The room was nice, the view spectacular. The hotel restaurant had wonderful authentic Bavarian food at a very fair price. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Did find it hard to exchange money anywhere around... More

We initially liked what we saw here, clean rooms very near to Neuschwanstien castle - walkable. However there were a few major issues that made our stay less than pleasant, especially for the price. The first problem is that their internet was total crap in the worst way. It kind of let you in (via crappy maxspot web page) but... More

We enjoyed the cowbells and the location but wouldn't stay here again. Agree that the big selling point is location to Neuschwanstein Castle. We also age dinner there and found the food was average at best.

Lovely, peaceful hotel, staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay very special. Even had a surprise birthday treat which was lovely. It is within walking distance of everything but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle! Lovely views - we loved the sound of the cow bells - very relaxing. If... More

This well maintained chalet-style hotel features an all weather car park in close proximity to the entrance and street. The internal décor is in keeping with its Bavarian location. The staff were reasonably approachable and conducted themselves in a professional manner. The bedrooms were comparatively spacious to other rooms we stayed in but the bathrooms were showing signs of age.... More

We wanted a place close to the Neuschwanstein castle & Rick Steves recommended this small hotel. It was a great choice. The room was alpine rustic overlooking fields with cattle grazing. As they moved their cowbells rang quietly. It was very peaceful. The hotel is a 10" walk from the castles so we didn't have to worry about parking in... More

We had the quad room at room #21 with an amazing view of the castle Neuschwanstein. 5-10 leisure walk towards the information/ticket center and Alpsee. Love the food at their restaurant too. Highly recommended to try the homemade meatloaf, uuummmmmm good!

This hotel is within walking distance to the castle. I consider the hotel a good values for the price. They operate on a tight budget. Lights are off most of the time and they have no staff after 7:30 pm. They charge a fee if you need to check in after the staff leaves. You need to arrange this before... More
