We stayed at the Obermaier Hotel this past Christmas for a week. We were visiting family in Munich and also had friends in tow from the US (also staying at the hotel). The rooms were great, spacious, extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is EXCELLENT. Proximity to city center via subway does not take away from... More

Amazing hotel with excellent service! The rooms were really spacious and very clean. Lots of amenities were provided. Beakfast had a great variety and they offered lots of local products. Everything was excellent!

From Australia, the staff made me feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly, welcoming staff from the reception to the cleaners! Amazing breakfast, fresh eggs and fruit from the markets. Prepared and made with much care. So close to the train station, great supermarkets and bakeries nearby. Plus a big park to work in and get rid... More

The hotel has many rooms, some, single deficiency-point, until succeeded ettes badly small, a great friendly helpful personnel, the breakfast is class and the price simply fits. One must not go to the meal far, one simply simply into the Obermaier Gasthaus and receives a good typical Bavarian meal, but of course also other matters. If one with with more... More

From the warm welcome and complimentary glass of wine upon arrival, to the spacious family rooms we had, we loved our stay at the Hotel Obermaier. The hotel is historic, but the rooms are very modern and cleanliness is superior. The breakfast that is included is a full brunch buffet every morning, with gracious and helpful staff in a sunny... The hotel is nice and gives you that nice warm feeling when you enter. It's pinewood wherever you look. I had a single room which is quite small but then again, you're by yourself. During this stay it was extremely warm and there is no airco in the room but they did place a ventilator in the room. Because of... More

Rooms and nearly all furniture is made of pine(?) wood. I would not like to sleep in this hotel during any warm spells as there is no air Conditioning in the rooms. The bed was good enough but the pillows were all far too soft and unsupportive. There was also no choice of pillow density available. The bathroom cannot be... More

The hotel is located about five kilometers (3 miles) outside the city center of Munich. The room was small but clean. While I only slept in the room without doing anything else, the room size was ok. The breakfast was really outstanding. Fresh coffee, any kind of sausage, cereals, fruits,...

We have stayed here now the 3rd. time. We always find the service very friendly and helpful. The double room “Komfort” is a very spacious room with a lovely private bathroom. The Restaurant has a traditional Bavarian atmosphere and the food is superb but the meals are quite large. The hotel is good value including the food. We use this... More

This inn was recommended as a family owned traditional Bavarian inn. That may be the case and it may have lots of history behind it, but the room I stayed in was one of the smallest rooms that I have ever stayed at anywhere. On their website it shows large rooms but those seem to be the double rooms and... More
