Cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Opera. Perfect location on a quiet street about a ten minute walk from Marienplatz. Room and amenities were top notch with a lovely welcome box of chocolates and a large gingerbread heart waiting for us in our room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a complete German style assortment of charcuterie, cheeses, smoked salmon, breads, yogurts and eggs to order. Thank you Hotel Opera!

Exactly what one wants when one travels internationally:quiet, small, boutique hotel but located within walking distance to so many sights one wants to visit when in Munich, and a staff at the hotel who also then ensure that your stay will be the best possible. We were given a beautiful room that did have a small enclosed balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast provided was served in a beautiful courtyard garden, and nicely done. The staff, however, were the gem of this hotel as everyone at their front desk helped us with all needs such as dinner reservations, sight-seeing recommendations, and even issues with Covid testing issues which were required at the time. Close by the hotel there were many cute restaurants including their restaurant which we did not avail ourselves of. I am personally so happy I chose this hotel from all the ones in Munich! dont be fooled by photos. only THREE of the rooms in the hotel have AC. We only had a dyson fan for US! No minifridge in the room. i left some food with the front desk staff to place in the fridge but was told it was not there when I asked for it @ checkout time. Dead/ wilting flowers in the room. Our bathroom rooms smells a little like urine, weak toilet. breakfast is nice. staff is friendly and do their best. Common area does possess a charm.

Very elegant hotel with beautiful decorations and furnishings and helpful and professional staff. The location is excellent, lovely little neighborhood with restaurants and cafes but still an easy walking distance to Marienplatz and the Residenz museum. Lovely breakfasts. Great hotel!

Of course, Staff are the best at making guests comfortable and. I said I wanted to. Thank all of them with a small gift to which one replied, "Wait a minute" and assembled the staff so I could individually thank them. I am not a staff tipper, but sometimes personal service must be recognized. And service was wonderful throughout the layout neighborhood whether it was a cafe or a restaurant restaurant or a little shop called Kleina that made Individual necklaces by hand. SANKT ANNA'S was near, and the perfect cure for a week of Fasching (Fat Tuesday). This post is too short to mention all of the great things about Munich during this time and a book too short to describe this hotel. Just go. You'll never regret a moment!

I chose this hotel based on the reviews and it does not disappoint. What a charming place. The rooms are quite quirky and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing! It’s in a wonderful location close to all the sites in the old town and the staff are exceptional. We also had dinner at their restaurant Gandl which was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel

Pretty little hotel in charming area of Munich. A little tired looking inside but the excellent free breakfast makes up for it. Our only complaint was thin walls. Maybe it was just our room (29) but we could hear everything from the room next door-especially when people kept their tv on until 12:30 at night! The staff was very helpful. I’d recommend it… but not room 29!

This hotel was much more than I’ve expected. I felt myself living in a very elegant 1940’s period which then everything was so tasteful and refined. Team was very hospitable and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. It is very near only 10 minutes walk to the Marienplatz and the way you are walking is Maximillian Street which is the main street having very fine shops.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Opera! The hotel has old-world charm, thoughtful staff, and a great breakfast. The location is fantastic - away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to shopping on Maximilianstrasse and the historic city center - and there are lots of great bakeries and restaurants nearby.
