The hotel is situated very good in Schwabing. The style is a bit old fashioned with all the upholstered furniture. The room I stayed in (single bed) was tiny but clean. Staff was "professional friendly", the breakfast ok but not outstanding. This all leads to an average rating. I stayed in other hotels nearby and think they offer much better...

We arrived to Leopold and we had to move to Frankfurt two days later, but the hotel was so nice, Munich so lovely, and the hotel staff so wonderful that we decided to stay for one more day. This place definitely makes yo feel AT HOME. Frau Brown is an amazing lady that gave us excelent tips and places to...

I recently stayed at the Hotel Leopold for a Trade Show in Munich. The hotel was in the centre of Munich a couple of minutes walk from the “münchener freiheit” underground station. The hotel seems a small hotel but has quite a large capacity. The staff are very professional. Rooms are typically “European” in style. By this, I mean functional,...

Our German friends booked this hotel for us in the Schwabing district near the University. The bed was ok and the room was very quiet as it overlooked the courtyard. The breakfast was included in the price and there was a good selection. The front desk is helpful with directions and you can use the computer in the lobby for...

Over 20 years, I have stayed at Leopold dozens of times and always found it to be a satisfying experience. Privately owned and operated, this medium sized hotel is in the residential district of Schwabing on a major street, not far from the university. Thus, there are shops and restaurants more calibrated to the student and residential population than to...

I hosted a trip that spent one night in Munich. Our stay was great. The front desk staff was so helpful. the rooms were clean and very nice, and the German buffet breakfast was delightful. All 10 in my group raved about my choice of hotels.

We were disappointed with the Hotel Leopold when we visited in May 04 on our honeymoon trip. The room was overly small and immediatley adjacent to the parking lot. The hotel itself seems to be a natural sound amplifier, and the interior door in our room made an odd groaning noise everytime it moved. When we approached the front desk...

I have stayed at the Hotel Leopold several times. Part of the hotel is old but there is a newer addition. Expect typical city street noise when staying in the older section. Pay to park (typical). I've had good rooms and poor rooms (small, terrible beds). Be sure to check that the beds are satisfactory. Adjacent restaurant is convenient. Excellent...

“Rooms facing Leopold str will hear emergency vehicle sirens at all times of the night and day. Do not take the "family room" in the summer.”

“There are rooms that overlook the parking area- which coincide with the apartments on the other side of the lot. If you like the window open your gonna hear Germany waking up and visitors coming and going- but if you want to keep an eye on your vehicle you can. Close the window and I didn't hear a thing.”
