Lovely staff greeted us, followed by a much needed draft beer in their cute bar/restaurant. The room was better than expected and their location is perfectly close to the train station and the Marienplatz. We didn't get to fully participate in the breakfast due to us running late for a flight, but it looked delicious and was well maintained. We...

This place is centrally located within walking distance of the city centre and if you are travelling by train, of the Central Station. Staff nice and helpful and breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Rooms were a bit dark but nice.

We, couple on holiday, stayed 2 nights in an "Alpenchic" themed room on the top floor, very nice, all new, clean room with wooden floors. Hotel staff and service were great. No issues. Nice bar and little outside area - cosy. Really good buffet breakfast. Location in central station area means you will see a mix of poor and red...

We stayed in the double room with a bath. Just brilliant after a long walks in the city. The hotel was a strange combination of early 20th century hotels, gasthouses and modern atmosphere. All of this in a good way. Breakfast was great, you could eat lightly because there was a great selection of fruits and berries. The terrace at...

My husband and I stayed at the Alpen Hotel for a week in September 2015. It is a sophisticated family-run hotel with a flair for presentation and service. Buffet breakfast is of a very high standard as is the dinner menu - great food and service. The restaurant/bar is beautifully presented with modern clean lines. There's a lovely quiet courtyard...

If you've been to Munich you know there are a myriad of hotels for every budget and need. Granted, many of the 'nice' hotels are located in the less than desireable areas of Munich, but it is safe. Alpen is just two blocks from the main train station, the Galeria shops, and Marieinplatz. People make the difference and they made...

We had the nicest room in the hotel with a beautiful fireplace, a small living room and a beautiful tropical shower. The hotel itself has a mountain cabin feels to it. Breakfast was included and pretty good too.

We've booked and paid for a double bed, which turned out to be 2 single beds. We've raised this with the reception on our arrival and the receptionist looked puzzled by what we mean - do we want a king size bed? No, we just wanted a double bed that is one bed, as opposed to 2 single beds. Obviously...

A clean hotel in a location near the central train station. Surrounding area is multi-cultural and gritty at night, but it is short walking distance to transportation (2 blocks)and the old town (5 blocks). A bit of outdoor noise in the early morning hours is quickly forgotten during the great breakfast that is included with the room. Most staff were...

Hotel without any comfort. What about when you see a mouse walking in the breakfast room? The only thing that the hotel has very positive is the location ... very close to downtown. Breakfast is poor. The staff is little friendly.
