We had lunch here while waiting for a guided tour of the castle and decided to stay over. It is not the most modern but it is a castle and the rooms are comfortable. There is no WiFi but if you have a laptop you can get a connection. If you want modern decor etc. It's not for you but...

Stayed here for one night in August 2016. If you're doing the Romantic Road this is a must stay destination. The rooms are simple yet perfectly adequate. The room views however are another thing - take a look at the photographs from our room. Sensational views of the inner courtyard and garden. Other facilities include a good quality restaurant serving...

We stopped there for one night on our way of the romantic road. The staff were really friendly, the hotel in the old medieval castle is so original and nice. We had dinner at the restaurant in the evening and the food were really nice. We had a great stay there, it's a perfect place to stop on the romantic...

Love this little hotel. Where else can you stay overnight in a 12th century castle? The hotel structure is just one of the buildings in the castle complex. Plus there is a great house restaurant, serving delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner; you are allowed to park in the castle courtyard at no charge, and you save the 7 euro admission...

The pocturesque castle dominates Harburg, so to spend the night there was quite special, especially after the day trippers had disappeared. We arrived before noon and we had to wait until after 2.0 pm to get access to our rooms. We used this time to explore this very pretty old town. We had lunch on the opposite bank of the...

I stayed as part of a wedding party for two nights in a single room. The decor of the room is simple but good. Had a beautiful view over the garden and upper ward. The owners are lovely and would certainly go the extra mile to make all customers happy. The food is good and plenty. Would certainly recommend!

We found this place by accident when we needed a place to stay while traveling the Romantic Road. What a fantastic accident this turned out to be. Yes, the furniture may be a little dated, but the whole place seems to be lovingly kept up. Plus, you are staying in a CASTLE, so how could one complain! Everything was clean...

Just south of Noerdlingen on the Romantic Road lies the little town of Harburg, overlooked (I quote the Lonely Planet guide to Bavaria) by a 'humungous castle' - and the LP wasn't exaggerating one little bit. Tucked away into one corner of the castle courtyard is the Fuerstliche Burgschenke Harburg - or the Princely Harburg Inn, to give a translation....

If you are a fan of 70's decor ,heavy pine furniture, patterned wallpaper with a border and artificial flowers then this is the hotel for you. The bathroom was extremely small but perfectly clean and functional , however it has been many years since I have seen a shower curtain and not a screen. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant...
