My boyfriend and I were only in Rothenburg for one night and wished we stayed longer. This hotel was perfectly located right outside the city walls. After visiting Rothenburg we are glad we stayed outside the city walls since it's much easier to park outside and walk than it is to drive through. The staff here was friendly and our...

A lovely old house which was converted into a hotel in 1966. Be aware though that there are only steps to the upper floors. The location is right by the historic wall and parking is just 5 Euro for 24 hours. Our two rooms were very clean and comfortable. Limited breakfast on offer however. Staff were very friendly.

Prime location adjacent to city wall. Clean rooms. Excellent and friendly service. Make certain to abide by check-in times (15:00 to 19:00 only). Parking is convenient and located in city parking lot just across the street. Breakfast included.

The location, just outside the wall, is a big plus for the Hotel. Parking is free at an adjacent hotel, or 5 Euros for 24 hours in the city parking lot across the street. The hotel has some old world charm, but if you like modern amenities you are in the wrong place. There is a garden for guests to...

We saw this hotel opposite the car park and they had a suite available for 98 euros for the night. There was a double room with own washbasin, a single room the same, an enormous bathroom with bath and separate toilet. This was ideal for us as my husband had a cold and could occupy the single room to spend...

We loved this charming hotel! The suite on the top floor was perfect for our family. Beautiful location right outside the city wall with very easy parking and walking to everything! We parked the car and didn't move it again until time to leave. Breakfast was fantastic and the service was wonderful! They even gave us a key to the...

Stayed two nights in this ten-room hotel in a 1910 house immediacy out the city wall. Parking in a City lot next to the hotel, 5 Euro per day but if arrived after 6 pm, one can get a free parking until 9 am next day. City staff came next morning to check on cars overnighted in the lot so...

When we arrived, the first impression was of a rather foreboding mansion from a 19th Cent Gothic novel. It is close to the medieval townwalls. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful as was the other staff. You can park easily at the hotel next door. The family room was quite spacious, homely and comfortable although the beds were rather...

A really friendly welcome and very approachable, obliging staff made for an extremely enjoyable stay in this period hotel which retains many original features. An ample European breakfast was provided with a good selection of cold meats, cheese, juice and fresh fruit etc. The room was well appointed and comfortable with a pleasing view toward the city wall and rooftops....

We've stayed here about 7 times before.Always loved it. This time it was still great, but it has changed. The family that owned it (the Wetzels) have given up the lease and now the adjacent Hotel Von Rappen runs it.The staff, kitchen, reception and cleaning are very nice, helpful and polite-- but they are employees , not family running THEIR hotel....
