We arrived with a sign at the dark, dirty front door of the hotel asking us to call the number. I called and then waited 15 minutes for someone to arrive. We were guided to our room in the dark, up the narrow stairway. The room was dusty but not dirty and the beds and bathroom were thankfully clean. There...

Based on other reviews, I stayed here. The positives. it is a great location near the heart of it all. the beergarten in the back was quaint. The breakfast was more than adequate by german standards and I have no complaints. The building is old and you have to expect that. I found the room a little more run down...

The room was charming and the beds good. We slept very well. That's the good part. The stairs you had to climb to the rooms were very steep and narrow. You have to be well fit to carry your luggage upstairs unless you have a very small bag. The bathroom is nice, but nothing dries there ... so don't try...

After 4 weeks on the road we can whole heartedly say that this was our favourite residence that we stayed in, for a whole array of reasons, and it was just delightful. We travelled to Rothenburg ob de Tauber by rail and had no problems finding our way to the location. It was about a 15 minute walk and we...

What a charming hotel we found in Rothenberg. The hospitality and friendliness of Chris, Nicole and especially, Mariella was one of the highlights of our 5 week European holiday. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rates very reasonable. The restaurant was lovely and the food well prepared and delicious. I would highly recommend a visit to Rothenberg and if...

Everything was spotless. The hotel was in the perfect location, away from the crowds yet only a two minute walk along the street to the...

Althougth we did not stay here, we had one of the best meals of our entire stay in Germany. The young ladies running the quaint establishment were terrific and the food was 4 star. The wine was top notch. It was a very romantic setting. Highly recommended.

Our family with two children (9 and 10) stayed at the Spitaltor. It was located in an excellent location within the wall of Rothenburg, enabling us to truly experience everything Rothenburg has to offer. Old world charm definitely describes our experience! While very quaint, it was still spacious, very clean and well kept. Everyone working there was helpful and very...

2 night stop over on our way to Austria. Nicole and Chris were very friendly and the hotel was in the perfect location, nice and quiet with about a 2 minute walk to the centre. The hotel rooms were quirky and the bathroom was very new. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was huge with lots of variety. I...
