It was a surprise. Way above average, excellent value , very helpfull staf. Very near U-Bahn. Good breakfast but very expensive. There are a couple of bakeries next to it, that offer much better value for breakfast. Dont even think of drinking water in the room, as it costs 3.90 Euro for a small bottle. ( 25 cents in the...

We booked this hotel through Low Cost Holidays, noting it to have a 3 star rating we wondered what we would get. What a lovely surprise from the minute we arrived there was a welcome from the extremely helpful and knowledgeable front of house staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast wow again all the staff were pretty...

This is an excellent hotel in Charlottenburg area of the city but also handy for travelling to anywhere in Berlin. Shops are close at hand and a variety of restaurants. The breakfast is first class with an excellent choice and restaurant staff are very helpful. Reception staff are also knowledgeable. The room is of a good size and has all...

The hotel is located in the Charlottenburg area with the tube station U-Bahn Bismarckstr. being right next to the hotel entrance. The rooms were modern and spacious, tea/coffee facilities available and replenished on a daily basis. We did not try the breakfast as were staying on a room only rate but there is an amazing bakery just opposite the hotel...

You can reach the hotel in 3 mins by metro from bus terminal (ZOB). Free wifi, soundproofing walls, modern interior, electric kettle with instant coffee and tea bags present inside the room, cleaning service provided every day, nice stuff at the reception desk. The metro station Bismarckstrasse (U2+U7) is situated 3 mins of walk from hotel. A lot of grocery...

First of all, the location of the hotel was great - the U-Bahn Bismarckstr. station was a stone's throw away so everywhere in Berlin was easily accessible. The rooms were clean and pleasant and the breakfast selection was pretty good too. The front desk staff were generally polite and professional, although not particularly warm or friendly. Overall, I was pleased...

First off, the location of this Leonardo Hotel was great. It may not be in the middle of all the tourist attractions, but it was in the middle of Berlin everyday life! While staying here, my traveling companions and I were able to enjoy the quaint eateries and shoppes within walking distance of the hotel. There's also a shopping mall...

Now it starts with hotels. Leonardos ask for extra charges if you want to have a decent coffee. 4€ at breakfast for an cup of coffee latte. Feels like low cost. Trucks are parking in front of the hotel at 04:00, you will get up by the noise. Ask for a queensize bed, you receive 2 singlebeds a 80cm, far...

As the title says, the breakfast is hugely varied and tasy. It is very well worth the 10ish euro more (per day) it costs. I stayed in a double room and it was quite small (no closet..what?). We asked for two separate beds (and were reassured they were separate while checking in at the reception) and it turned out they...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
