Room was spacious for a singe stay, well equipped, area is calm, near city center you can walk till Alexander Platz or use the underground for 4 stations, helpful staff. In brief excellent in terms of value for money only one point to raise, the reception needs to be open for more hours

After struggling to find an apartment to suit 11 of my friends and I we found and settled on IMA lofts. We were divided into 3 rooms, they were quite well furnished and enough space (whilst not being too big or too small) but the highlight of these lofts was that we often would have the 11 of us in... We had lots of fun there, location is very good, many things to do in the area, urban vibe, very nice rooms with good decoration. We were almost every night in the coffee located down stairs, all in all excellent value for money.

do not rely on owners transfer to / from the airport ... they are totally unreliable. We have had a very bad experience, we risked losing the return flight. cleaning is not the best, and when it's hot it suffers a little.

We have stayed at the IMA twice now, each time for a week and we will stay there again. It's very affordable, fairly clean, and they allow pets. The factory that houses the lofts is quite something, though I don't know anything about its history, I'm sure it's got one. The IMA staff of three girls are very helpful and... More

The staff were very helpful, we didn't arrive until 9pm and the lady came from home to give us our key and showed us around. There is a lovely courtyard outside the building and the lift to the rooms was a scary novelty at 2am! The lofts are spacious and modern contrasting the outside factory look. Quick and free WiFi.... Two mates and I stayed in an apartment which was in the renovated factory-type building. The room was pleasantly decorated in a nice style and contained mini kitchen (with cutlery and condiments), fridge, table and chairs, sofas, television, comfy beds, towels, and the bathroom had sink, shower and toilet. Everything we could have needed. The building was quiet, safe and... More

This is not just a hotel, it is something more than a hotel. Large apartments with a kitchenette. If you want to save money on eating out you can even cook there - there are all you need for this tool, and even spices such as salt and pepper. IMA is particularly suitable for those who like to party, because... More

My family of 4 stayed 4 nights in June. We stayed on 4th floor unit but it was more like 6th floor hike due to not counting ground floor as 1st floor and some between floor levels. Elevator never worked but I think they are working on it to fix it. Shower you have to be careful or you will... More

I had reserved 3 nights from 29.06.2013 to 02.07.2013 at this place through booking.com and they have cancelled it today (18.06) because it is closed for some refurbishments. ccording to Booking.com they should have advised them and they should have provided us with an alternative at the same price. Which they DID NOT do. This is very unprofessionnal from their... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
