This pleasant hotel is only about 3 minutes from the Kurfuersterdamm and nearest metro station - there are many shops and restaurants around. The hotel is very clean, modern and friendly. It offers excellent value for money. The rooms have nice modern decor. There is an underground parking for just 10 EUR/24 hours. Breakfast at 7,50 is good value -...

Very trendy and relaxed hotel. Value for money. Great decor, very clean. Seems to cater more for couples and professionals. Excellent breakfast. I don't like the fact you have to pay as you check in. Good location. U-Bahn station five minute walk away, great shops etc

Excellent location (5 minutes on foot to the nearest subway station, Wittenberg Plats), bus stop 500 meters away from the hotel, plenty of nice cafees and restaurants, shops and supermarkets (incl. KaDeWe, of course). Hotel is big (7 floors), quit, cleaning every day. However there's no single rooms, only doubles, so if you travel alone (as i do) the price...

I picked this hotel because it was reasonably close to the U-bahn line my husband needed to be on for work, it got good reviews on tripadvisor, and it was cheap. Internet: When we checked in we asked the woman at the desk if the room came with free wifi. She said only if you paid for breakfast (7.50 per...

I recently stayed at Motel One Tiergarten and would recommend this hotel. I stayed in October when it was freakishly hot and there was issues with the air conditioning. My rooms air conditioning was working, but not pumping any cool air out so the hotel seemed to think that because it was working it was ok. After a few complaints...

Me and my husband just got back from a 4 night stay at Motel One Tiergarten, and it was fab! The hotel is in a great location just 5 mins walk from Wittenbergplatz underground station from where you can get to most areas if the city. This hotel is ultra modern and chic and I still can't believe we got...

Motel One chain always maintains its level of comfort. Location is good, close to Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn station. The only drawback is that the red U-Bahn like is under repair and you cannot board it from Wittenbergplats station. There is an express bus from Zoologischer Garten station to Tegel airport. The room is clean with Loewe flat TV on the wall....

Stayed in Motel One during Berlin Marathon. Very good location. Only a few minutes walk to the start. The hotel is very clean and offered all I needed. The staff was very helpful - they helped my finding a phone number of a friend, recommended me a decent restaurant and helped me with my Internet problems. What amazed me most...

Really nice, super clean hotel, great breakfast Only two criticisms would be poor changing frequency of bed line and the totally frustratingly appalling internet service. Tolerable if it was free -maybe ;) - but just ridiculous for a 'paid for' service. The Management really need to address the in -room wifi

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
