As a huge street art fan, on arrival I was excited by the entrance, only to be immediately greeted by unmotivated staff. Rooms are spacious but feel as though they ran out of money whilst stocking with what I'd perceive to be basic inventory: No kettle, clock, sound system (which you'd expect a s brand standard, given what they're trying... The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful during our stay. We had our room on the 6th floor was not disappointed. The view out our windows was great. Bathroom was clean with a rain shower head which I totally liked. The bed is smack in the middle of the room but its actually great to wake up with... More

There is no room service, but the room is nice and modern. Shower, huge tub, big comfy bed with a couch and tv. Cool spot. Cramped lobby with big comfy chairs and a small bar. Little sweet treats for you in the lobby, as well. Great location. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Without taking public transport, you can get to a bunch of "touristy" restaurants, interesting local shops, some international brands, to Alexanderplatz, to River Cruise. Most importantly, you feel safe walking the streets that are well maintained. If necessary, the underground train station is close by, as are trams. The hotel rooms are not large, but the bed is exactly as... More

A very good starting point to discover Berlin with lots of nice restaurants, shops and cafes around (also the touristy part of town is not far). The rooms to the back are also very quiet - the higher the floor the better.

Central location and nice lobby. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small; layout was not convenient; bed was only accessible from one side. Top of bed and parts of the bath room were very dusty.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
