It's a nice, clean place with fair prices. We stayed there for 3 nights at New year's. There's a tram and bus stop just a few steps away, but it's not really on Alexanderplatz, it's 5-10 minutes away, by foot, and that's where the nearest metro stop is. They have a garage which is much cheaper for hotel guests. I'd...

What a wonderful hotel :) I had a modern, comfortable family room which definately met my needs for my three day stay here in January. The temperature outside was a very antisocial -5'c most of the time but my room was warm and cozy. The bed/mattress is the usual etap offering so not the best but come on people, I...

the room is very simple but o.k. - showers, toilet, washing dish, big double bed & a third bed above, only one chair, no wardrobe. The hotel is situated very near to Alexanderplatz in the centre of Berlin, so it's easy to start here to go and discover nearly every place in and around Berlin - by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, by...

great location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms exceptionally clean. Basic, but for €43 per night, this was really good. Rooms were good size, good shower room, tv - and a great location! Tip - take shower gel / shampoo with you as only supplied with very small bar of soap. Supermarket few minutes walk away so not a problem. If...

This hotel is great if you're on a limited budget, the staff went out of their way when asked for anything including when we asked for a room transfer. Not that we were disatisfied with our room just needed a slightly better view of Alexanderplatz. Free Internet in lobby and breakfast option available at good rates. We decided to go...

We booked this hotel only 1 night before we're heading off to Praha. The location is a bit hard to find until you notice this hotel near mercedez bank. The room is clean and standar for budget hotel and no toiletries kit only soap.A room's furniture is modern with light color. It's about 10-15 minutes walking to the Alexanderplatz centre /...

The hotel is about a 5- 10 minute walk from Alexander Platz and was not that easy to find unless you were told to head towards the Mercedes Bank, which is very visible from Alexander Platz. Great value hotel - the rooms were spartan, very functional and very clean. Check in and out very efficient but we found it difficult...

A great value hotel, certainly up to the normal high standards of comfort and cleanliness of this chain. Located around 10 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz, I found it an ideal place to stay. It would seem that the hotel has been recently decorated as my room felt modern. Check in and check out were both very efficient

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
