This a very old hotel. 20 tears ago this supposed to be a luxe hotel, these days it is old fashioned and poor. It is very hot in the hotel rooms and also very noisy. The canceling policy is terrible and it is obvious the hotel doesn't like complaints. Very bad price/experience.

For a 5 star hotel I miss quite a lot things. Yes, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. There was no surprise in the room - no complimentary water or fruit. I missed slippers (got them on the second day). The pool and sauna area was closed during my whole stay. The breakfast was tasty, but little bit boring... More

At first glance, this hotel seems like an excellent choice. It's very central and the public areas on arrival are very stylish. There are however cracks which become very apparent very quickly. There's nothing majorly wrong with it - just lots of little niggles which are quite irritating. Firstly the lift. There's a security system where you need to put... More

Rated 5 star I was expecting something really special and it disappointed. Superior room was okay but no coffee facilities, minimal toiletries and separate single quilts on a large double bed! Room was clean, reasonable size for a city but unremarkable. We had room only and had no intention of paying 27 euros each for breakfast. Location was good, close... More

This hotel was recommended by British Airways when I booked a business overnighter to Berlin as it was right around the corner from where my meeting was to take place. From Tegel airport, it was very easy to get to. Check-in was easy, finding the room was easy. The room was nice and spacious, if not dated, and the (upgraded)... More

Very friendly and warm welcome. Very good breakfast. Classic room not up to date but bed and washing room very good. Will come back due to staff and situation in the city. Traditional hotel and good bar.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
