We spent there 5 days, the rooms are nice and quiete; the receptionists were very rude, the last day we had to leave the rooms at 12 o'clock and at 11 o'clock we asked the key to the receptionist but she said us that we couldn't have it because the personal were cleaning the rooms, but it doesn't exist that...

Large hotel with good transport options for the city. Very busy when I visited and the hotel seems to be popular with schools and visiting workers. My room had four beds (I was alone) but the shower was good and I didn't have a problem with noise. I chose to pay for breakfast before discovering that a large school party...

Hotel was found it difficult to understand staff and I dont speak german. Hotel room in need of a bad upgrade as toilet was very 60s beige. Drain in bathroom very smelly and not at all nice experience. Hotel restaurant only open from 06.00 am to 10.00 am no other service. Bar attached to hotel was okay apart from smoking...

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. The hotel is pretty old, not charming, just old and used...and smells bad, generally dirty. The staff is even worst...rude, impolite, annoying (no smiles, no hi...nothing!). We asked for extra pillows because ours were not existing and the only thing the staff said was: we don't have them, a hotel without...

The hotel is old, but doesn't have the charm of days passed, it's just old. Rooms are VERY small, but clean. I had no clue there was free breakfast as it didn't say when I reserved the room, neither did the staff mention anything. Overall an ok place to stay. Best part of it was the 24 hour bar/restaurant across...

Rooms old but OK for the price. Cleaning OK. Location good, just next to Adenaureplatz metro station. Beds are terribly hard (even I, 26 years old, had a back pain after the second night). Staff was quite rude and did not speak much English. We asked for information about the tourist buses, but they had no idea, nor did they...

The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff are helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Great location also. There are tons of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. There's a subway station across the street.

The breakfast buffet was very big, with scrambled egg and saugeges, alle kind of meat slices for the bread, yughurt, corn flakes, an other things...

The rooms smelled like cigarettes, no AC and the bathroom also had a very bad smell. The room was dirty. Only good things about it is that Adenauerplatz Metro Station was at 3 mins walking and the breakfast was good.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
