Hotel location is perfect, just a minute away from metro station and a few minutes from Alexanderplatz. The staff was solid but dissappointing, when we arrived to hotel they could not find our reservation and when they finally gave us the room keys they did not provide any information about the hotel amenities, the business center or gave us city...

Ibis mitte is perfect for a citytrip in Berlin. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The room is large and big, only a small bathroom. Everyday the room has been cleaned. The breakfast is big and very tasty. The hotel is perfect located, near alexanderplatz.

We are regular travellers in Europe and tend to stay at an Ibis wherever we travel as they present a good combination of price, location and service. The location is good with Alexander Platz a 10 minute walk away at the very maximum, a tram stop 2 minutes away and a ubhan 5-6 minutes away. You can get anywhere in...

(+): frendly staff location (-): - noise in the room; not from street, it was construction site at 5th level, they are starting work at 8 a.m. - hitting didn't work; they offered us on the second day another room, but it was just same situation. I received an auxiliary heater. - no carpet, just parquet - gathered dust under...

16 of us have just returned from a stag party in Berlin. The Ibis in Mitte is in a great location to walk to Alexanderplatz and very convenient for public transport. The rooms a fine and are great value. We got twin rooms for the weekend which worked out at around £25 per person, per night. The staff are friendly...

My room was rather small, but the location is good with sights and shops from few minutes walk. The internet connection was a bit too low, but the room and bathroom were cleaned. Service was fine and bed was ok.

A stay at one of the Ibis hotels in Europe is always a safe bet: clean and functional, with a decent breakfast assured. This hotel is within walking distance of a lovely Christmas markets and excellent shopping areas, as well as close to some of the main sights. It is certainly good value for money.

Clean, inexpensive, good breakfast, average location, a few niggles. Ibis has a few inexpensive hotels near Alexanderplatz in Berlin. All follow the Ibis standard model; this one is the best value for money and has the worst location (both only by a small margin). All are predictable, all somewhat lacking in character. Perfect if you want a cheap getaway base,...

The hotel is located very close to Alexander Platz. Close to public transportation and the metro or train station. I enjoyed my stay and had no issues whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
