We booked for the hotel Allegra across the road but when we checked in were offered a room in the main hotel so accepted. We instantly felt at ease and were surprised at how classy the place was. Fantastic reception staff who were friendly and...More
This was a group of friends that wanted a good location from which to walk to points of interest. Landing at Schonefeld airport, there is a direct train to Friederichstrasse station and a short walk from there to the hotel. The staff were very helpful...More
For us this hotel is just an ideal pick when visiting show at Friedrichstadt-Palast. It is very well situated (like 5 mins short walk to the theater & plenty of nice bars/restaurants close by), the place is very clean indeed and cozy, hotel stuff is...More
I booked for two nights but arrived a day late due to a flight cancellation in Frankfurt so had Ein-Nacht-Aufenthalt. The hotel was conveniently located for the work I needed to do - walking distance from key places. The hotel meets my expectations for German...More

This well appointed, historic hotel is perfectly located near the train station. There are many restaurant choices near by, with outdoor seating along the river.
Our room was charming, comfortable and clean. Despite a location near many restaurants, it was quiet at night.
Thank Jan F

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
