Check in was easy but they do need more people working the reception area especially on NY weekend. Rooms were clean and the hotel is pretty remodeled and new and rooms are clean and have ton of mirrors. Bathroom was the best, brand new everything, really 5 star quality and better than most "luxurious" hotels Ive stayed at. Some of...

Cons: Checking in, staff very arrogant could not give a damn that they messed up our booking and that our 18 year old twin boy and girl had to share a bed. Only after a heated loud argument they went from being full to having an available twin room. Rooms are literally 2m x 2m in size, no where to...

Hotel was lovely and well presented in a nice quiet area. Apart from the construction works outside! So if you are travelling soon phone hotel and check because there was no information of this on their website or external ones when I booked and checked when I was back also. It would have been an ideal hotel if I wasn't...

Myself and my partner came here for the Christmas markets and some sight seeing last week, the location of the hotel is ideal very close to attractions and the centre. The hotel itself however, including the staff were not as expected. On arrival the staff were not very friendly and seemed disinterested in customer service, more concerned with chatting amongst...

Great location to travel around the city. Excellent breakfasts that keep you going throughout the day, with plenty of choice of hot & cold dishes. Room we stayed in was basic, but everything you require for a short city break. No teamaking facilities were available in the room, so travel kettle advisable. Wifi connection was a bit hit & miss....

Very nice hotel. Nice staff. The rooms are a little on the small side as already stated, but they are super modern and lovely and warm and cozy.. No English channels on the telly. The hotel is within walking distance of 5 good christmas markets, the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. Free maps in reception. The metro/underground is just outside...

We got back into the hotel at 21.50 after being out exploring Berlin for 12 hours. Having bought a coffee and a beer to take back to our cosy (but tiny) room, I remembered about needing to ask for some additional pillows and a duvet (couldn't sleep well last night on one thin, flat pillow and a tiny duvet for...

No major issues with this hotel other than the room we stayed in was quite small, lack of plugs on one side of the bed, a quite shallow wash basin, small bin in the bathroom and no safe. However this was not a problem due to leaving very early and returning late after sight seeing. I cannot comment on the...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
