The only negative of the hotel was the room size, it was a little bit small. Other than that, the rooms were very clean, neat and warm. The bathroom is great with a large, high pressure shower. The staff of the hotel are all very nice and the majority speak English which was very helpful for us. The breakfast service... More

This hotel provides great value for a central berlin hotel. It is only a five minute walk from the underground station Spittlemarkt. It is walkable to all the major historical sites. The staff are friendly and efficient, and checkin only took a couple of minutes. The room was as described. As others have mentioned, the rooms are slightly smaller than... More

Nice decor, great location, with modern comfy rooms. Perfect for a long weekend. The Bar area is also nice, and an underground station that connects you to all of Berlin is on the doorstep. Rooms are a little cozy in size but more than adequate.

The hotel is located very well. Also the lobby and the bar is nice. Rooms are a bit small but for 1 person more than enough. What I liked most is that the rooms are very clean and have a nice decoration. What I missed was a mini bar and a core maker. Other hotels in the same price range... More

I have visited this hotel for 3 nights in November. The first impression was good accept the lady in reception who was very cold and strict. Not unprofessional but not that what we are used to meet in a reception of a hotel. The room extremely small, I have never been in such a small room without closet. They were... More

The hotel is a very good option for a short stay in Berlin - its nice, clean, good service and the location is great. Close to Gendarmenmarkt area and to min. walk from an U-bahn. We didn't have breakfast incl as we chose the small coffee shops in the area close to the hotel. A good recommendable hotel

Myself and my husband booked this hotel online as the reviews were good and pictures looked great. We are recently married and my husband is originally from Berlin. We checked in on the Monday to the most miserable and unfriendly staff, we felt immediately judged by our jeans and trainers (standard clothing for sightseeing) and had to prompt the receptionist... The hotel is within walking distance of most attractions or tube stations, made getting around very easy. The hotel itself was very clean and friendly. Plenty of dtaff around should you need help with anything. Would definitely book again.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
