It's in a good location and our room was clean and pretty well equipped. But no English language tv was disappointing. The reception and entry area is somewhat strange. But it was good value in a city with expensive accommodation.

A great location but as someone mentioned earlier for only a mere euros more (and time on your side) you can get a clean equipped hotel a block away. The apartment I stayed in was dirty, shabby broken furniture, dirty walls, broken curtain rails. It was also a very noisy stay, I woke up at 4 by other residents shouting...

These apartments are in a good area close to the city center. It is perfect for both friends and couples traveling. The service was well, however be aware they are not available 24/7. There are grocery stores in the area, so it's easy to get groceries for the apartment. It might look a little shabby on the outside, but great...

I'm a frequent traveller to Berlin, this trip was spontaneous, so I ended up in L72. It is one of those converted airbnb houses, many of them exist in Berlin Mitte, most of them illegal and this one looks far from being "official". Towels were dirty, I'm not sure if the room had been cleaned at all, bed and sofa...

On our last trip to Berlin we decided to go do the "budget" stay. Well, let me tell you about this place, first of all it is not all bad, the location is great, the person that received us was nice and friendly, the room was spacious, had a bed, living area and kitchen, however a few things you should...

Stayed here for 2 nights in March. First impressions, what have we booked here? It looks very shabby and I wouldn't of known it was there unless the taxi driver said so. Not looking promising from outside. Man on reception was great, very helpful. The room was a 2 bed apartment with 2 sofas acting as beds in the living...

This apartments are not the greatest, but they are cheap and have a nice location on Potsdamer platz with only a 2 minutes walk from the U-bahn. When you room an apartment here, it is all about being lucky. We had4 apartments and 3 of them was renovated, one of them was not. One of our rooms were booked for...

Should have checked Travel Advisor but my travel partner made the reservation through another service. In a building covered with graffiti and a couple of miles from most attractions. Perhaps a safe neighborhood but did not appear to be. We had "the penthouse" 11 flights of steps and no elevator! Stayed for the clothes washer but no soap or dryer...

The room is comfortable and well equipped. There are parking spaces available if you need one. Wifi is fast and quite stable. Kitchen is well equipped too. The bed, pillow and duvet are really comfortable.

a decent size, no-frills apartment, if you are looking for a budget and quiet place to stay in a good location. This place is an all-IKEA equipped apartment with most of the basics you need, but (free) wifi is un-usably slow, parking is extra (and adds up if you are staying longer), and the place shows some wear and tear.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
