4 nights for Berlin Marathon 2013. Great location with all kinds of transport links. If you get a room high enough ( we were on level 33) the views are amazing. Room was clean and very modern, very likeable. But breakfast at 19 euros is a rip off. Other let downs were that you pay extra if you want to...

The hotel is located right beside the tube station so you can take both a train or underground into different parts of the city and airport. The location is perfect. The rooms had a fantastic view of the city and was really amazing . They were a little on the small side, but had everything you needed except no wardrobe...

Stayed 3 nights with a group on cultural tour. Had room on 15th floor which was modern and of adequate size. Toilet in separate room but the bath and handbasin were in the bedroom with a curtain that could be used to provide privacy if needed. Would expect a proper separate en-suite in a four star hotel. Hotel well located...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in September and we were extremely happy with the location, the service and the presentation of both the foyer and the rooms. The staff were very friendly and willing to assist where they could. You cannot fault the location, very accessible to the U & S bahn as well as shopping, restaurants...

The hotel is located in a very convenient place for exploring Berlin, during the day and evening. The pros: location, breakfast, comfortable bed, top view, airport bus just outside the hotel, shopping around, shower, cleanness. The cons: high price for internet, toilet paper, catering staff (remove your plate without asking, while you are still eating!), size of the room.

Stayed at this central hotel in Alexander Platz, everything ,(shops, restaurants, transport etc ) just outside hotel. The hotel is a gigantic building next to the Berlin tv tower , but beware of being charged for extras, If you go up for a drink to the viewing terrace bar in the 35th floor you will have to pay 4 euros....

Stayed for 5 nights and got a good rate with breakfast, booked a standard room but was upgraded to one of the corner rooms with a great view of Alaxanderplatz on the 27th floor, nice touch. No queues at check in and only a small wait at check out, only noticed a queue at reception when a coach party turned...

Stayed beginning of Sept for 4 nights we had booked on line with a discount for 4nights so were pleasantly surprised when we had a good room on 20th floor with spectacular view of Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower. Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
