Booked room only but had breakfast and it was so good we booked it for rest of the time. Costs €18 but truly excellent. Buffet style - plenty of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, hot breakfast and lots and lots of different bread hot out of the oven. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and warm....

If you're a tourist visiting Berlin, this hotel is perfectly located. It's about one block away from CheckPoint Charlie (and the U6 metro line serving it) and about three blocks away from the U2 metro line serving StadMitte. This means you can visit the whole of Berlin with public transport without any problem and on top of that you're in...

What a great hotel. From the moment we arrived until we were left, we were incredibly well looked after. The staff were professional, friendly and so helpful. Our room was massive. We loved the toilet being separate from the bathroom - great when there are 3 of you. We think a female had a hand in designing the room layout....

We stayed here for 5 nights for a first visit to Berlin and it fitted our needs perfectly. We had a superior suite which consisted of a lobby area with mirror, coat hooks, separate toilet and bathroom off it, a very large double bedroom facing the street and another room with a sofa bed and a small balcony looking over...

Loved this hotel, within easy walk of major sights and underground and plenty of restaurants close by. We had a privilege room which was a huge room (806) which was at the top of the hotel. The room had a double seater sofa and 2 armchairs. Loved the coffee machine as well. Breakfast was good as well and because we...

This was our first trip to Berlin and we wanted a comfortable and functional hotel with a bit of character. That is exactly what we got. We had booked four nights bed and breakfast. As previously said, it is very close to Checkpoint Charlie, Gendarmenmarkt and two U bahn stations are about equi-distance from the hotel. We had a street...

A couple of blocks from Friedrichstrasse and the Gendarmenmarkt, it's in the center but the neighborhood does not have a business center feel. The room is large and modern, the bed is separated from the sitting area by a desk that also has the TV. There is a cozy bar downstairs, where you can get dinner off a small menu....

Close to the underground, buses and tour buses. Clean, modern hotel. HUGE bedroom, fantastic shower room. Friendly staff. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. Save your money and walk to any of the local cafes for a decent breakfast, with more variety for half the price.

Dear Elaine M, Thank you for your nice feedback and review. We are sorry you did not like our breakfast- since we are preparing a vast variety of "all you can eat" warm and cold products including all juices and hot beverages...our pricing is very comparable to the other cafes without including drinks... We still hope to welcome you back...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
