I stayed here for one night earlier this month, paying £156 for a panoramic room. The lobby is very impressive, as are all the communal areas downstairs - really beautifully decorated - so I found the room a bit of a letdown to be honest, which was quite plain. The room was very comfortable and I thought the natural (fullsize!)...

We stayed at the zoo over Christmas. Loved the hotel and had a good feel to it. Food was good and great location. Only fault was upon check out, they had charged my partner for the stay and he had to pay again and did not get a refund till a week later, staff were very rude and non apologetic.

Perfect location. Cozy modern design inside the old building. Interesting and comfortable room with indecently high ceilings. But some strange moments slightly spoiled the impression. - Normally you look for slippers near wardrobes. The last place where you expect to find them is the place UNDER (!!!) a hair dryer. We found them only on the second day :-) -...

Stayed there one night. Loved that it is placed in the middle of center with a lot of shops around. Hotel and service is really nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's modern and really stylish. Great cocktail bar, and restaurant but gym is really small. Also food menu at the room is pretty small.

I stayed here for a weekend in Jan 2017 with my boyfriend and we could not have asked for more in a hotel. The hotel itself is stunning, the rooms are spacious and every last detail is considered. The location is excellent, on a great street of shops and amazing transport links But aside from the hotel itself which was...

First time in Berlin. So asked my local network and the Zoo was the first choice. Boutique kind of hotel. Modern and trendy. Perfectly located, Nice efficient young staff. Room was very good and the price extremely attractive. There is a very cosy bar too where a lot of people seem to end the evening. Bonus: had one of the...

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and beautifully designed. The downstairs bar had a lovely ambience and cocktail menu and we couldn't hear the noise from our room so it was a win win! The breakfast was overpriced so we ate out instead, that's the only thing I would criticise. The location is right...

Very humble and polite staff. Young and experienced , very service minded and a true pleasure to stay a week as guest. Valet park worked great and a very safe parking place next to a building secured by police. Room services was quick and had a great menu. All over all. A top score. This oasis in the middle of...

Check-in and check-out: fairly slow and disorganized, friendly Staff Room: average/small size, but nicely decorated, great amenities, very cosy touches Dinner: outsourced, slightly arrogant host, otherwise great selection and excellent waiters and waitress Breakfast: great choice, one of the best breakfast buffet in a boutique hotel I have seen Our checkin and check out with my colleague was slightly to...

Decided on a quick pre Christmas break with the family and stayed at Hotel Zoo. 2 teenagers in tow we booked two rooms. Both on the 4th floor ours looked out the street and was small. The kids overlooked the central courtyard and was great. I didn't see other courtyard rooms, but my tip would be that these are the...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
