When you walk up to a hotel and the front door is blocked, you start to wonder, then you see an arrow with "hotel", leading you behind the building...walking into the reception area it is a complete construction site so that you must walk on wooden beams to get to the reception. Yes they are renovating, and doing a pretty...

We stayed here for two weeks - visiting our daughter and seeing the sights of Berlin. Andreas picked us up at the airport and he and the staff (Dirk, Patrick, Margerite and others) made us feel very welcome and part of the family. Provided us with a wealth of information on transportation, dining, sightseeing, etc. The hotel is on a...

We only stayed one night, we flew home from Berlin but we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We needed a very early, 4:30am, cab ride to the airport. The man at the front desk called for us and it was there immediately! The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable! If we...

We booked this hotel last minute for one night. We stayed on the 5th floor, room 55. Great, VERY CLEAN room with a balcony. Very friendly service! Near great restaurants. We'll definitely stay there again!

We booked this hotel last minute (at the same day of the arrival) due to the cancellation of another hotel, so it was very cheap and we didn't really expect a lot of it. But we couldn't be more surprised! Both the young and the older man at the reception were very nice to us during our stay. The room...

It is very well-kept, clean and quite appointed hotel with friendly staff who always have good suggestions for u, in a very calm and nice area, almost near to Hauptbahnhof. Anytime back in Berlin I will stay in this hotel, if the price remains as reasonable as it is.

This hotel is functional at best, dissapointing at worst. Staff are friendly enough but its location is poor and I didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood. Room was big enough to fit a single bed and my travel case but I had to hurdle that to get into the bathroom which is not big enough to lift your arms....

Booked this hotel as near my friend's flat. It was very simple and straightforward but had everything we needed for a short stay. Appreciated the fridge in the room and that it had a bath as well as a shower. The bed was a little close to the wall on one side, which was odd as the room was a...

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Got a bargain price, and Hotel was a 5 to 10 min walk to closest U-Bahn. Room was clean, good beds, bathroom was clean. Very friendly and helpful reception lady. Minus was noise from corridors, that was passing through out-dated room doors, and a bit out dated room interior. We had breakfast in...

On the night of our stay there had been a small mix up with rooms and we decided we would stay with friends instead. The staff understood completely and are arranging a full refund. It makes us want to go back next time we are in Berlin. Thoroughly recommend as staff were very helpful too.

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
