Visited within a group of 6 friends for a three night stay to see Berlin for the first time. Situated in a quiet area of the city it was a comfortable walk to the Reichstag or direct in to the centre of the city. If time was of the essence then there is an underground station directly across the road...

A very comfortable and clean mid-range hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. We had a late flight home but it was no trouble to leave...

Quite friendly and helpful staff.. ok, they're not really friendly but they're helpful enough. The rooms are nice enough and there is some noise from the nearby trains but it shouldn't stop you from sleeping. The location is fine for getting to the main places. Also, the park nearby is great for running.

The breakfast was very very good. There were many food varieties. Rooms were clean but there is no twin bed at the hotel. Keep in mind that if you are not coming as couple. There was onion smell at the lobby all the time. The location is not the best but very close to metro so it wasn't a problem.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
