The place is really bad. Very dirty, dark and overall very scary. The staff was never there and it looked more like an abandoned house than an hostel. The other visitors were not tourists, but workers or students staying there for over a month. Me and my friends were very uncomfortable during our stay there.

I booked this room with my boyfriend for a weekend. We were very impressed with the price; we paid only around 25 euro per night for a private room with a double bed. It is very cheap so we knew the hostel would probably be very basic and didn't expect a lot, but David's did not meet even my lowest...

Even though we booked a 8 persons room, we got our own for two. Our room was very nice with our own balcony and living space. However, the shower was in the kitchen and both the shower and restroom were not that clean. It is a cheap hostel, so I didn't expect a whole lot out of it.

Look like a friendly place, but it's not. Very Cheap, but also dirty and unclean, expecially bathrooms. The "VIP" room, as no tv as they write on the description, no private bathrom, it's shared with another room in an house away from the principal house. The bathroom of the "VIP" room it's a litte hole with a small washbasing and...

The place itself is nothing special: small hostel, simply furnished rooms, shared bathroom, old mattresses... Nonetheless, if you travel on a budget, it still can be an acceptable option. Personnel is kind (young people from all across the Europe help to create the vibe of modern Berlin), rooms and bathrooms clean, place easily reachable by public transportation, great Turkish fool...

We stayed over for 3 nights, and rented the apartment with ensuite bathroom and double bed. it came with a television and a selection of DVDs and books. The adjoining kitchen could have been useful if there was a microwave, and the cutlery and pans didn't look like they'd been washed. The fridge hadn't been cleaned out from the last...

Little hostel, central location and relatively cheap. But not very clean, and i didnt like the bathroom: 2 showers and 2 toilets in the SAME room. Not great to have the "smell" when you're having a shower...

My stay in david's hostel is one that I will not forget. While the staff were very friendly and helpful and the price was extremely cheap, this was an experience that I hope to never repeat. The main rooms consisted of about 12 matresses placed on the floor with about 30cm space between each. The bed linen was filthy and...

Great place to stay! David is the best guy/gay ever! Although some days he doesn't feel like David. He has to other names. Daniel en Bratt. He's just good clean fun. Great place to stay for a couple of nights. Close to u-bahn, supermarkt in a very quiet area of town. They provide you with a key so you can...

I came to Berlin for the ITB market fair and rent a room with David. The room was correct and clean. Kitchen, hot water,... I spend 2 other night in the dorm...that was a bite of a mess...my bed was in a very bad state, to many beds (+-15beds) and hard to sleep with so many people around. Thanks to...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
