Had the typical plush Ritz room with a view of Potsdamer Platz. The hotel is an overall good choice for Berlin across from the subway and a 10 min walk to the Brandenburg gate. Prices varied here 60 euros 2 weeks later for the same room? The lobby can be overcrowded when a tour group or convention is ongoing and... More

This Ritz-Carlton is located right in the heart of Postdamer Platz, by Sony Center, and at one physical point where East Berlin meets its West counterpart, where some pieces of the (Berlin) wall are still there as a memorial to an uncomfortable past. We stayed here for 5 nights and we loved it! The service is unbeatable and the staff... More

Stayed here one night on a stopover, and while I enjoyed the hotel and its location there are a few instances where I regret staying here and not at the next door Marriott. Being a MR Platinum member, I am used to the lounge and breakfast being included... None of that was included at the Ritz (38 Euro for breakfast... More

Great location near Brandenburg Gate, Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz and Tiergarten Park. It is the luxury you expect from a Ritz Carlton. The staff was very helpful (some seemed friendly but a little snooty, that might have been my misconception others were incredibly friendly.) The rooms were luxurious, the beds were comfortable. It was a great place to stay for... More

This is the perfect hotel for staying in Berlin with a great location and excellent service. Just south of the Brandenburg Gate in the centre of Potsdamer Platz. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Service was impeccable during our whole stay. We stayed on the club level.

Wonderful hotel, great location... The staff is really pleasant, very kind but not disturbing/insisting like it is sometimes in the luxury hotels. The hotel is located in the heart of Berlin. Potsdamer Platz is the new business center of Berlin. Overall the price/quality ratio is very good.

The location of the Berlin Ritz is awesome. The bus and subways are directly across the street, as are the Sony Center and several good restaurants. Checkpoint Charlie is a lengthy walk away, but we preferred walking as much as possible, so the distance didn't bother us at all--that's part of the European experience. Berlin has so much to offer,... More

A splendid and luxurious hotel. The entrance artfully combines art deco with opulent chandeliers atop a sweeping staircase. Sevice? Impeccable without being over-stuffy. Rooms (we were on the tenth executive floor) were very specious and excellently equipped with a sitting area, writing desk, free wifi, flatscreen TV and a king-size bed with individual duvets for the two of us. Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
