It’s Ritz-Carlton, and everything is expected to be luxurious all over the world. The first time I was in Berlin with my just wedded husband, we didn’t want to risk comfort over price so we had to go with the Ritz and no doubt we just got what we wanted, a luxurious stay. My expectation was not crushed and I...

I dont tend to stay in chain hotels, even prestigious ones like the Ritz Carlton, however, i would never stay anywhere else in Berlin after our stay over Valentines/Berlinale. On our arrival we were met by Nicki, the guest relations manager who showed us to our room and told us a bit about the hotel before leaving us to explore...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel and I have say what an amazing place this is. Nothing is too much trouble and all of the staff are courteous and eager to help. The hotel is immaculate and we could not fault the room. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have...

The rooms were ok, clean with well kept nice bathrooms but soft furninshings and carpet seemed a bit tired. Breakfast was limited and a backup at the concierge for assistance. A few people seemed quite angry in the lobby about rooms and spotty internet service. Location was good with children near many attractions and Ritter chocolate making shop and great...

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a smoke smell in the room when we first arrived, but they did their best to air it out when learning of the issue. We were there for an anniversary and they added lots of special touches (champagne and macarons when we arrived, rose petals on the bed the first night)....

I spent a number of nights at a corporate event recently at this hotel. On the plus side, the service level was very good. The room was very comfortable. On short notice I got two meeting rooms, which was greatly appreciated. One of the rooms was their 14th floor apartment, which has amazing views. Hotel is built in area which...

Never been disappointed staying at a Ritz. The staff in Berlin were perfect, concierge was extremely helpful, and the hotel is gorgeous from top to bottom. Breakfast was extensive and the waitstaff were very attentive. My room was spacious and the bathroom was beautiful. Totally relaxed there. There is a taxi stand out front. Also, location is right at Potsdammer...

Stayed her for 3 nights during the fashion week. It is an excellent hotel with very attentive staff and a perfect location for spending a few days in Berlin. That being said then there were a few issues that one wouldn't expect from a Ritz Carlton: - Wifi system throughout the hotel doesn't work very well, in general good coverage,...

In January 2014 we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Berlin for the first time and had a wonderful time. It is located right at the Potsdamer Platz, so you are in walking distance to the main tourist attractions. The hotel is perfect. You get everything you expect for that price... The room, and especially the bathroom, is very spacious and the...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
