We spent four days in Berlin and this place was just perfect: it was comfortable, with freindly and helpful staff and it was with views on a park. Location-wise, there was a bus stop just in front of the hotel and a tram stop around...More
Four of us visited Berlin for the New Year celebrations. Hotel Victor was a brisk 20 minute walk to Alexanderplatz, (nearest information office). However the 200 bus stops 25m from the hotel entrance. Not only does it take you to Alexanderplatz but also goes close...More
Stayed for 4 nights over New Year. Room was large, spotless and cosy. Bed was extremely comfortable. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room or no fridge but that did not concern us as we were out and about most of the day. Large bottle...More
The hotel is quite nice: large room, clean, comfortable bed, but no fridge in room.
The breakfast was very rich and the staff quite helpful and friendly.

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.

Yes and No because it depends what time of year that you go! During the winter months they don't have the air con on which was when we were there, I don't know about the summer but I would assume that it would be on. The hotel is a little out of the way, but Berlin has great transport and the hotel is outstanding. Hope that you have a lovely time there as we did.
