This hotel is wonderful, beautiful super clean, my room was so beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is delicious. But what make this hotel great is the staff. I arrived at the hotel really late. I had a bad bad flight, but the guy that...More
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. It has great location with bus 200 leaving close by the door. Our room was on the side and it was quite quiet even with open windows in the night. Garden is nice and breakfast was great....More
Simply nothing to dislike here. Great rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff and fine food. Substantial appetising buffet breakfast, and excellent restaurant for evening meals that are reasonably priced.
A little concerned how the rooms would cope with hot weather, since there's no aircon.
I was visiting with a colleague. I could stay since i booked with booking.com. Yet the booking made directly with the hotel was cancelled 48 hours before arrival. Unacceptable!!! I had to find another hotel in Berlin for my colleague.

No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.

Yes and No because it depends what time of year that you go! During the winter months they don't have the air con on which was when we were there, I don't know about the summer but I would assume that it would be on. The hotel is a little out of the way, but Berlin has great transport and the hotel is outstanding. Hope that you have a lovely time there as we did.
Unless you really need a car while you're there, I'd strongly suggest leaving it outside Berlin and use the public transport system instead. This is good, frequent and cheap. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel and a... More
