Having stayed in a Hotel Indigo before we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Having had our BA flight cancelled and therefore arriving 6 hours later than intended, it was a delight to be so warmly welcomed. As an IHG Spire member we were upgraded to an executive room which was spacious with an enormous en-suite with walk...

Arrived at Alexanderplatz by train from the airport and was checked into the hotel 10min later. Really nice room on the 6th floor looking over the square (not the most glamorous view but even so). Twin bed was two singles pushed together but the bed was comfortable. The shower was really fantastic and there was a few English speaking channels...

We stayed here on 24th October 2016. We were booked in a deluxe room which was adapted for wheelchair users. The bathroom had everything you could need with a roll in shower where you could transfer to the shower seat. There is plenty of room to get around in the bedroom. Large comfortable bed to relax after a day visiting...

We had booked two rooms in the hotel for four nights. We had requested adjoining family rooms (reservation was made by phone and checked a week before) but when we arrived there had been a mix up and they were only able to give us two first floor rooms beside each other on the side of the hotel with the...

My husband and myself flew from Manchester to Berlin on the 12 October as our son had been admitted to hospital in Berlin. We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is very well located with nice social areas. The bedrooms are a reasonable size, bed is super comfortable and very clean. So generally very good. The Indigo hotel is a very good place to stay in Berlin, particularly if it’s a first visit as it was for us. Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
