We came across this hotel, through the hotels listed on AMEX. Stayed there for 3 nights. It was nice. Comfortable & spacious rooms, well maintained & located close to the city centre. The hotel is located at a 5 minutes walking distance to the "Hop-On Hop-Off" excursion centre. Very convenient! They offer a sumptuous breakfast. The same is inclusive in...

I have only one word to describe my experience with this hotel~ TERRIBLE. I booked for 6 days but only stayed there the first night. It is a very old, unclean, and dark hotel. Flies in the room. Dusts all over the place. Never wanna go back there ever again!!!

We, a group of four canadian friends, stayed at the Amaryl city hotel for three nights starting on new years eve 2014 until the 3rd of January 2015. The staff were very kind to us and helpful at all hours, even when the shower head in one of the rooms broke (the nail that held it together rusted through). Overall...

Stayed here for three night in June 2014. This hotel is rather cheap in price and you get what you pay for. We got yelled at in the reception for not using the hotel's street parking option and instead used the parking garage 50 meters down the street. Off to a great start. The room and breakfast were OK. The...

Slowly and discommunication receive at our arrival. Five words to speak to us were still too much. Small room and very small sanitary. Dirty towels were still in the bathroom. Dark corridors, small elevators. Problems with refreshing the towels. For a few hours we left our Luggage after outcheck and we had to pay for the store-room. Wifi is €...

Spent 3 nights in a small but very clean room. The small bathroom with shower was very clean too. The room was quiet. Breakfast was served on the second floor in a cheerful room. The breakfast itself was not that good. But all in all I had a good stay there. Very good value for money. Oh yes, and the...

I went with 18 other people for a study trip. Our first spot of annoyance was that they charged a 30 euro deposit from each and every one of us on arrival. When we left a few days later, they did not pay each of us 30 euros back; they rather payed the total sum for all of us in...

I went with a group, and we were all treated terribly. - We were promised free Wifi, but had to pay. - Some of us were charged over 100 eur for supposedly "ruining a wardrobe door." They were not even allowed to go in the room and see what they meant. - The shower in my room was broken -...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
