Helpful and nice receptionists and great location. However.... Very small rooms, could follow every conversation in de hallways and rooms next door. Although the bathroom looks nice, the showerhead was broken, the tap was broken, after every shower the floor was covered in water. In October, with bad weather and an open window we could still not get the temperature...

Perfect location, real central, next to ubahn (underground) and 25mims walk to the zoo. In the gay area, and it's a little on the kink side, but it's all very relaxed, and not rammed in your face. Back to the hotel, reception staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were on the small side, but if you want bigger you can...

We arrived late on the Monday evening after a few hiccups travelling from Bristol airport. The receptionist was very welcoming and we went to our rooms. On entering we realised that the previous reviews we had seen, were right! The rooms are very small but adequate for a short stay. No room for the suitcases and more suited to a...

This hotel is very well run with friendly staff, rooms are good and clean, very modern. The location is very handy for the Tiergarten Zoo and gardens. We stayed here to visit the Xmas Markets of which there are plenty. We would recommend this Hotel for visits to Berlin.

Boutique style hotel, close to Nollendorfplatz u-bahn (3/4 minute walk), in the openly gay area of Berlin. Nice and helpful staff, clean and welcoming reception area. Room; probably more suited to just a single person, although it is a 'double room' it was definitely on the smaller side of double. Very large dip in the middle of the bed which...

This hotel is in a quiet residential area albeit the heart of the best known gay neighbourhood in Berlin (Schoneberg). The rooms are a decent size for a city hotel and fairly clean and well decorated (maybe a little tired around the edges but overall ok) . There are no tea /coffee making facilities in the rooms but the mini...

Rooms are not the biggest but they are cosy and well decorated. Staff is always willing to help: they are nice and well trained. Nice neighbourhood, quiet and beautiful streets. Small and yet complete buffet breakfast.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
