My partner and I stayed here recently and we would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone. The staff were all great and helpful, the hostel was clean but quite small so you need to pop your bags off the floor so you have room. The hostel was really quiet which was great and the bed was quite comfortable too. They...

My boyfriend and I stayed here during our trip to Berlin. The staff are extremely helpful, rooms are very clean but super tiny! We basically needed a place to sleep and store our stuff so this place was perfect for us. The only issue we has was that out shower drain became clogged after the first use.

Good price-performance ratio, clean rooms and kitchens, good location to explore Berlin. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the walls were thin, so we heard every passing bus at night.

Myself and my wife rented a double room with en suite. We stayed for 4 nights. The hostel was really clean, quiet and the staff were all super informative, helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable, our room was clean with a nice big window looking onto the back yard. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. There were clean and tidy...

We stayed here for a few nights. Tim, the owner, is a very friendly guy. The hostel is easy to find, close to the city center. It's not a huge hostel, only a few rooms, which is great if you are looking for something smaller and quieter. Nearby is a Bondi cafe - great breakfast!

I've rented a double private room with its own bathroom! The room was indeed small, but everything very clean and cosy! The location is, I would say, amazing! 20 min maximum by walking to downtown, from that place you are basically close to everything, and numerous bus/tram/u/s stations in VERY close proximity! Totally reccomend for both, couples or single travellers!...

Stayed in this room for a few nights; was smaller than expected but everything was clean. Tim, the manager greeted us and gave us an introduction on everything we needed to know arriving in Berlin. Safe neighborhood and easily accessible to many shops, restaurants and metro stations and bus stops. Affordable too.

The easterner hostel proved an excellent base for our trip to Berlin. Matt, the owner, gave us a quick and hugely informative introduction, circling his recommendations for the city on a map he gave us. It was a clean, nice place to explore the city from and chat to fellow travellers. Showers were good and clean, although there were only...

Easterner hostel is in a great location, it was a easy to explore Berlin from it and to reach from the main train station. The hostel itself is clean and has a good kitchen and the owner (Matt) is very helpful. The hostel was quiet and definitely not a party hostel, but good to get a bit of sleep and...

I only stayed for a night. The staff was pretty sympathic and the place was clean. It was near many restaurants and the subway (S-bahn), so I could say it was well located. It was a quiet hostel and I have not met many other travellers. If you want to meet people for party, it's maybe not the best place...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“If internet connection matters to you-pick rooms in the main building where reception is. (although rooms in the main building have windows towards street and not backyard like the ones with bad internet connection and not ). Sorry, i dont know the numbers for rooms in main building or second building. ask the owner about that. Spare rooms are kind of small but still nice.”
