The hostel was perfect for us. It is located a bit out of a hustle of the city centre, but still with shops just around the corner, U-bahn station and bus station as well. The best thing for us was free parking on the sides of the streets around the hostel! The rooms are basic, may be a bit shabby,...

Me and three friends stayed at the hostel for three nights. We found the staff very helpful and friendly and the hostel to be very lively and easy to meet people. It's not in the greatest location but Berlin is that big you have to jump on the underground regardless. There are super makers and cafes very close by which...

Why : 1. it is cheap 2. it gives everything you need in Berlin for accommodation : a bed, a shower and a bathroom (outside or inside your bedroom --> price !!) and quite good breakfast, and if you like a beer before you sleep then the bar serves it. 3. Everybody is friendly 4. booking is easy 5. discounts...

Stayed here for two nights whilst backpacking Europe. The rooms and facilities are all very clean and the staff are really helpful. The location isn't that close to central Berlin but luckily it's easy to get to on the metro.

Had a great experience at Amstel House it was just a shame it was so far away from the centre of Berlin. We did a pub crawl on our first night and we had to get 3 different metros just to get to the first bar! The happy hour is very reasonably priced with all beer at 1 euro 50....

The bedrooms were just like in the pictures and exactly what we paid for. The shared bathroom was clean in my first day, but the shower floor was sandy on the rest of my stay. There's a lot of people on the ground floor at night, but it didn't bothered me. The noise couldn't reach the room. It's three blocks...

Great atmosphere, really nice staff and clean toilets.. The bar is open 24/7 and with good prices (especially if you go there in the happy hour). Great kitchen with good space.. The staff is very helpful if you are looking for a place to eat or to go out. We also enjoyed the location.. It is not in the centre,...

Honestly when we first saw this hostel we walked past as it looked far too good compared to so e of the previous ones we've stayed at. It's clean, tidy, free wifi, 24hr reception, laundry service. The only down side we saw on day now was the kitchen, quite small for the amount of rooms. However, we never saw anyone...

Stayed here on multiple occasions when visiting Berlin with friends and on all occasions I found the service provided by Amstel House to be brilliant. The rooms are basic but very clean and safe. Location is very central and near an underground station/bust stops and cafe’s for food, but walking back in the dark it wasn’t very well lit up.....

I felt at home. The staff is so friendly and the food is good. The drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is very nice for youth people to mingle and make new friends. And the Internet connection is the best, I had troubles connecting to the Internet while I was in Berlin so I was happy to find free WiFi...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
