What a refreshing hotel. Not upmarket and overly fancy but more than basic. Large room, decent bed and furniture. Large bathroom for Eu standards. We stayed for 4 nights and found its location very good. Many restaurants, bars and entertainment close by (walking distance). Also...More

Hotel 26 is a minimalist hotel. The rooms are basic and have no frills but big enough, very clean and adequate for a short city break. The hotel is also in a very quite area so had no trouble with noise outside etc.
Nice hotel, great breakfast, friendly staff. The location is also good, in a hipster area of Berlin with many restaurants and bars. There's a mini market really close by and the subway station is not far. There is a tram station right around the corner....More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
