Kitchen is fully prepared, internet is working, U and S bahn and Trams are really close, and the lady at the reception speaks fluently four languages, she knows everything! :) all... More

I stayed a week solo in this hostel. The hostel is quiet, CLEAN, and comfortable; the shared bathroom is always clean (Even sometimes I wondered if I'm the only one who enters =D). Also the hostel is considered very cheap for it's location. The location is perfect, U bahn is 5 mins walk, the tram pass right in front of... More

I stayed here for 5 nights as a female solo traveller. It's in a great location, lots of restaurants in the close surrounding area, a couple of clubs, u bahn at the end of the road, perfect! It's very slightly out of the main tourist hub of the centre of the city which I really liked as you can eat... More

Stayed in this 'hostel' WITHOUT bunk beds & dorms for two nights (May-June 2016). LOCATION: Perfect location in Prenzlauer Berg. Tram stop M12 (Raumerstraße) in front of the hostel and U-Bahn station Eberswalder Straße 2 tram stops or 10 minute walk away. Close to Mauerpark, Konnipke's Imbiß (famous currywurst), Kulturbrauerei, Kollwitz kiez etc etc A few doors down the street... More

I didn't realize this hostel provided single rooms. My room was clean and comfortable, and the bed comfortable as well. Great location in Prenzlauer Berg with many restaurants, shops, and markets close by. Kulturbrauerei is very close by. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a triple room. It had everything we needed: comfortable beds, fresh towels and duvets and a hair dryer. The shared toilets were very clean and we never had to wait. Hot water worked perfectly. It is very well located close to Mauerpark and there's plenty of cool restaurants and bars around, but the street is quiet. There's... More

Located in the best part of town (Prenzlauer Berg) this is a great place to stay in Berlin because it's quiet, for a good nights rest, clean surroundings, and colorful lights. Outside you are surrounded by wonderful, innovate restaurants, shops, landmarks and parks. Would highly recommend staying a few nights in the best area in the best hostel. Staff were... More

We didn't actually stay at the hostel but we coordinated with the hostel for over 2 weeks trying to work out how it would work and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I wouldn't have expected such service but they were great.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
