I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Ideally located in the centre of Berlin, close to all major sights and close to many shops and restaurants. Although booked a single room, I received a double room. Staff was very friendly and even checked me in at 10.30am, although check in is normally at 2pm. Can highly recommend, especially for...

Hotel Spreeewitz sells not the cheapest rooms in Berlin, but offers one of the worst services. The room did not have warm water for two days in a row. There is no telephone to communicate to the reception. The walls are so thin that one can hear every passing person from the corridor. The floor squeaks loudly while walking in...

We stayed in the spreewitz hotel for the Berlin Marathon weekend in September 2016. It is very well connected by U-bahn and S-bahn stations around the corner. Breakfast is great. Rooms and facilities a little bit old.

We've been there in October 2016, right at the beginning of autumn and the cold season. We stayed there 4 nights, and in the first two, there was no heating. We were more than cold, and they couldn't provide a heater or anything else than more blankets. It is a budget choice, but still their answer for this basic problem...

The hotel itself is on the third floor of an old apartment block with the reception and bar/cafe on the ground floor. Rooms are simple but ok and location is close to several public transport stations.

Hotel was basic but spotless, comfortable and breakfast was very good. Location also really good two stops from Zoogarten with easy access to U-bahn, S-bahn, trains. Good location if going to Olympische Stadium also. Staff were polite . Free Wifi and being close to McDonalds were hits for my teenage son. Really enjoyed stay here. Would really recommend it as...

Stayed here for 2 nights & the hotel is so cosy & friendly! For the price you pay you can't expect a 5* hotel but it's very clean, friendly & helpful staff, comfy beds, tv with a wide selection of channels & a lovely breakfast in the morning with a huge selection of food. It's close to many restaurants &...

PROS: - The hotel has excellent location, i.e. a 5 min walk from a Charlottenburg train station (both S Bahn & U Bahn) & trains are very frequent, i.e. every 5-10 minutes (takes about 15 mins on train to get to Alexander Platz). - The rooms were clean and serviced daily - It was very warm in the hotel in...

We stayed one week at this hotel, and we found it very clean and satisfying. You should not expect a ball-room when you arrive in your room, but you will have a good bed, a desk and to chairs, free wifi that functioned, and a bathroom with a shower, - all you need actually. The carpet could have been changed...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
