The hostel has the correct services and a good localtion. Few room services are balanced by a good common services and city location. Some interesting places near hotel and train station 3 stops from city center.

Their room hygiene, bed order, showers etc. are perfect. Every bed has its own plug near it. Also their location is so central. 2 minutes walk away from Anhalter Bahnhof SBahn station. Definitely I suggest there to stay in Berlin.

The Hostel is well located (train and metro stations really close). Polite and helpful staff, cool environment. Tips: rent a bike and enjoy Berlim (Go to Templehoff for a picnic), Museum Island is beautiful and go for the beach bar by the river, people go there to dance on a Woody Allen movie kind of environment.

This place checks all the boxes in terms of cleanliness, amenities, breakfast, staff friendliness etc...but something about the vibe of the place really killed it for me. The former convent/creepy boarding school/run-down school camp vibe about the place gave me flashbacks to Catholic school. Weird complaint, but there you go.

I booked a room with private bathroom which was great value - large room that was clean and bright and not at all noisy. I loved how close it was to the station and bus stop, and I hired a bike for a day from the hostel which was easy and allowed me to explore Berlin with ease. Staff are... More

The positive: - Low price - Breakfast seemed nice, but didn't try it myself - Good location for both bus, underground train and walking distance to shops The negative: - No sound isolation between rooms and corridors, You'll hear everything. Some easy fixes could be to do something with the heavy metal doors in the corridors, they slam shut really... More

Guys at the reception are always friendly and helpful! If you need a beer or to rent a bike, they're there at any hour! The hostel is just few minutes walk from Potsdamerplatz, Checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish Museum.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Three Little Pigs Hostel Berlin shines with its central location directly at the Potsdamer Platz. Surrounded by Berlin's most famous sights as the Brandenburger Tor, the Checkpoint Charlie and the magnificient boulevard "Unter den Linden", the Three Little Pigs Hostel Berlin also offers short walking distances to several places of cultural interest and museums. Berlin's young and multicultural district 'Kreuzberg' - in which the Youth Hostel is placed- is well known for its awesome concerts, night clubs and typical Berlin Life. A recommendable place to find out, why Berlin is so en vogue! At our youth hostel guests sleep in a former nunnery with a unique atmosphere. Due to our quiet location, it is easy to switch off from city hustle and bustle, it is even possible to hear the birds singing - right in the middle of Berlin. Stay with us! ... more   less
