We booked the Lodge for 6 of us on a hen do. We weren't expecting luxury but on first arrival we were a bit dissapointed as it smelt a bit nasty and it was a bit rough round the edges. The pictures on the website are clearly VERY old and show it during better days. Having said this we grew...

The location is great - that's the only positive fact about Lodge Berlin. The building is in a terrible state, very run-down. Although the photos on the website look different, the apartment itself is very basic, without any comfort. We had apartment no. 1: couch with stains, broken chair, wardrobe without a door. And you can't lock the door from...

The good news: It's very clean (inside the apartment), reasonably priced. If you are in your 20's and into late-night partying, this is the location for you. The area is full (and I mean packed!) with kids partying, eating out, and generally having a good old time. (Not a whole lot else beside partying it seems, but to be fair,...

The LODGE Apartments are perfectly situated, they were clean, perfectly sized for our group of 12 and very spacious. The entire experience was perfect and I have no negative comments to give, other than the fact that I just wish we could have stayed longer. They were reasonably priced as well which of course helps. If and when I come...

Good accomodation to stay with friends to discover Berlin and its nightlife. Ok, not everything is very stable and a bit old, but everything that is needed to have a good stay is there and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. It was fine by us and we can recommend it to every not too demanding group of friend...

Very well located and not too expansive (115€ for 6 per night) but it unfortunately looks dirty and needs refreshment... It's good for friends or backpapers who want to be well situated with less money, but don't expect a great place.

Don't ever stay at this place. Yes, the location is great but nothing else about it is. For 140 EU/night, you would think they could have provided soap for the shower, toilet paper, would have had the beds made for us and would have at least had a nice little table with chairs on the balcony. What was provided were...

We stayed in Lodge 2, about a 1.5 weeks into our honeymoon (with 1 friend travelling thru Germany with us) First of all, we were told to pick the keys up from the deli/shop accross the road. They didn't have the keys, couldn't find them. I think we waited about an hour (by which time it was around 11.30pm). The...

We stayed in the Lodge 5 apartment for one week, two adults and an 18 months old child. While the location was ok, the apartment unfortunately was not clean at all. The floor was filthy all over, not even vacuumed. Dust bunnies were flying around when we arrived, and when looking under the bed (had to, our daughters toys are...

My friends and I loved Lodge four. The apartment, a traditional Berlin Apartment was clean and tidy. It had a great bathroom (shower) and a balcony above all of the action. The apartment (lodge 4) is within a ten minute walking distance of two train stations both connecting to the main station and a block away from a bus stop....

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
