The decor and furnishings will not overwhelm you. Our room was spartan, but functional. The key to this hotel was the location. Was a 5-10 minute walk from Zoo Station, so getting there from Tegel was simple taking the X9 bus. It's next to the S-bahn tracks between Zoo Station and Savignypltaz and you have your choice of station to...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with 10 family members this past Summer and I must say I was very pleased with my stay. The apartments are spacious, clean and well illuminated. The building is secure (three locks to get to my apartment!) and the reception staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We were offered maps and internet for...

The property does not look much at the start but the helpful staff really make this place worth staying at if your on a short visit or need a place to crash at the end of a hectic day. The apartment is very close to the Railway station and is very well connected. We were here for the IFA 2015...

My son and I stayed there last week for 3 nights. It is not a resort hotel nor does it try to sell itself as one. The location was good. It was 1 block to the metro. Plenty of shops supermarkets and restaurants near by. We had the room for 3 as that was all that was left when we...

Used Vega several times and always to my satisfaction. Although the building looks sad, the location is excellent (close to Kudamm, U bahn and the quaint Savigny square). The appartments are spacious, parking is available in the basement and pricing is reasonable. Check-out the Vietnamese restaurant on the corner of Kantstrasse and Savigny Square - food/price relationship is mad. Only...

Stayed in a big apartment which slept 5 easily. Right next to the railway but didn't worry us at all. Easy access to transport and good facilities close by. Nice to be able to have our own breakfast to suit variable wake up times.

We stayed in one of the studio type apartments. Location is excellent for exploring the city with kids. Zoo and main shops is within walking distance. S-bahn, busses, metro are also very close, so you can choose how you want to travel around. Some reviewers complained about the noise (as the train tracks are very close) but it never disturbed...

When I went to Vega with my friends I had a very pleasant journey: it was all always clean and during night there were no noises. Moreover, it's near a metro station and you'll find out how useful this is!

We stayed with two of my girlfriends here in September 2013. Everything worked and the receptionists were very helpful. Its on a good location, near to Kadewe and theres a lot of pubs, restaurants in the nearby. Also across the street theres a lovely bakery where we got fresh breakfast croissants. The price is affordable. Not too luxorious, but everything...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
