On the ground floor of this hotel is situated the bar/restaurant called Adebar. Once we realised that there is no hotel reception desk, we approached the staff in the restaurant to check in, and that was fine - they had our details and gave us...More
This surprising hotel is located in what was the former East Berlin, about five kilometres from the Brandenburg Gate. I expected and would have settled for a mediocre small 2-star hotel in the old East Berlin but what I experienced was the exact opposite. A...More
This little hotel was a real value for money! Spacious and clean rooms above the restaurant, nice bay-windows and huge breakfast! Great location too - right above the Weinmeister Strasse metro station. You just cllimb up the stairs from the station - and you are...More
I spent 3 nights here, in July 2014. The staff were always smiling and attentive. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, not very far from Alexander Platz (a 10 to 15 minute walk), and the best thing is that the Mitte Berlin...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

Not sure if Ibis Mitte Berlin can provide connecting doors and it does not have the best view in Europe BUT it is a very good-value hotel and worth considering as it is on a bus route to Berlin city centre and is very quiet. Your client could also consider Ibis Hotel Cambronne Paris as they used to have connecting doors and perhaps a better view. But Berlin Mitte is a great hotel!

Go to the Ibis Hotels site and enter your city, hotel and so on, in your case Berlin Mitte. You will be taken to the page you want which will show you details of the hotel and book a room and so on. If that fails go to Accor Hotels site and do the same. I do have the web addresses but this page will not allow me to use html in my reply!
I hope this is of help.
Worth persevering; it's one of the better hotels in Berlin...
