I visited this hotel this mounth, for a short trip to berlin. The room was nice and clean, it doesn't have balcony. The staff is friendly and speaks english. The place is quiet at night. Breakfast was good and wariated. I recommend this hotel when you visit Berlin, and you want to stay away from the city center noise.

Located in the calm part of Berlin-Tegel, a mixed housing and industrial zone, I chose the Hotel because of it's almost unbeatable price. Dogs are accepted, the rooms have the caracteristic high ceilings and breakfast is included. My family was at first critical, but in the end they were convinced by my choice. Our rooms were clean and daily cleaned....

Location is relatively good in that section of Berlin. 10 minute drive to Tegel Airport was an advantage and the reason I booked there. Breakfast was included, but I had to leave early, so I can't say either way. Rooms had 4 meter high ceiling. Small Flat Screen TV only had 9 working programs...all German. Not really acceptable in 2015....

No blinds, couldn't make the room dark. Grubby, felt like an old mental institution. On the plus side, they did give us an extra bed for our daughter, but she couldn't sleep in the light... We left as soon as we woke up.

The room will remind you of hotel rooms in Russia in the 90s. Located off a main street, the hotel is housed on part of the ground floor of a grand looking building (probably a good school) but the grandeur abruptly ends there. The room, bathroom & corridors are stark and bare with heating pipes and water running everywhere. The...

I love old industrial buildings and this one looks really nice. Inside it's like an abandoned hospital. The one who has chosen the light yellow colour on the walls and blueish curtains should be punished!!! The smallish room has really high ceiling so lots of unused potential. Wonderful high window with impractical curtains. Bed was ok. Poor sound proofing, small...

This building is amazing, in term of history and structure. It was the office block for an arms factory. Unsrprisingly it doesn't make for a very congenial environment for a hotel. welcome is good, and staff are friendly, but the environment is ahmmm Spartan! it is what it is - its a low cost Pension, with basic facilities. Beakfast was...

Basic hotel for short stay. Very good place for car travelers - there is a large parking space and it's close to the highway. Building looks like an ex-military barracks. Rooms are also quite unusual - there are very large windows and high ceilings. Furniture looks old but it's clean. Nearest U-bahn station is not very close - prepare for...

I don't know if it is a German thing, but this hotel lacks curtains to keep daylight out. That means NO sleep if you have been driving during the night, and also waking up very early even if you don't want it. If you want to sleep until you wake up by your own choice, choose another hotel, at least...

We decided to go to Berlin almost last minute and that too on a long weekend. All hotels were expensive. In that scenario, Bongard was a good reasonable deal. However, please be aware it is a basic hotel so don't expect a lot else you will be disappointed.
