When I booked the hotel Marienthal, I wasn't sure what to expect as the hotels around Hamburg were a lot more expensive, but to be fair, the hotel is decent. The location is a bit further out, but the bus stop for the 23 and 213 buses is a 3 minute walk away and will connect you to the train...

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and peacefull surrounding. Reception staff were all nice and helpfull. I would recomend them to get heavy curtains for rooms as rooms get very bright with first light, so there is not much sleep. There is no fridge in the rooms, and that would be nice. Pillows are VERY thin and soft. Biggest minus was...

Hotel Marienthal is a nice and clean hotel in a quiet area of Hamburg. The staff was friendly. The beds were a bit too hard for our taste. The breakfast was served in the winter garden and it was OK. It is possible to park along the road in the neighbourhood. If you want to go into town you need...

This hotel hit the spot for me and my mates. We'd visited Düsseldorf a couple of years previous and made a pledge to come back to Germany. The hotel was what we needed and although we were further from the city than we thought it actually helped make our stay. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. The...

I chose this hotel because I was looking for a hotel very close to the vet clinic my dog was operated. And this is already the first advantage: dogs are allowed! The room we got (in the basement so that I didn't have to take stairs / elevator with the dog) was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and...

I have been several times to this hotel and I can recommend it. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, good 3 star standard. Good breakfast. To visit Hamburg you will need to travel by underground which is about 10 min away on foot, or 2-3 bus stops, so that 's quite convenient....

We stayed in Mariethal Hotel for a weekend. The room was nice and spacious. Staff kindky indicated us how to get to the public transport (U-bahn) which is close enough and handy to go to the city centre. Great value hotel in a quiet place!

Was there with two kids, in a regular double room. Even with the extra bed there was plenty of space to move around. Loved the balcony option (too bad it was winter). The breakfast was quite varied: cheese, salami, yoghurt, cereals, fruits, bakery, jams... all was there. The kids liked the omelet and the chocolate croissants the best. The staff...

I've spent only one night in this hotel and I have nothing to complain. Rooms are big enough, breakfast was very good and the staff was nice. The area of the hotel is very nice, not very central but surrounded by beautiful houses. The price I have paid is good considering that Hamburg is usually expensive.
