Over the last 20 yrs. I have seen Frankfurt change quite a bit - but this place looks and feels like time stood still. If you're into nostalgia & bad coffee - this is the place to go. Aside from the quality of the coffee - this hotel is clean and safe - in spite of its non-impressive street front....

I don't like to give this hotel a bad review as the staff were very friendly and the hotel was spotless clean, it did however feel like a hostel with pine single beds, very thin doors, and just very dated. It doesn't deserve a three star rating as it's two star. You can hear every word of conversations in next...

From straight forward help carrying my bag up to my room, to agreeing to the more unusual request of lending out the hotel breakfast room for me to conduct an interview, the owner of this hotel went out of his way to make my stay welcoming and comfortable. Rooms are clean and sound proofed and, oh joy, you can open...

I chose this hotel because of location. Close to subway station, river bank and Old Town. The rooms are small but comfortable. Very clean bathrooms. The view from the windows is nothing special but this is a city hotel, so it is fine.I will come back.

The last stop on our European family vacation was Frankfurt. After visiting Paris, Rome, Venice and Barcelona, we were ready for a nice quiet place to wind down. That's exactly what we found at the Hotel Kautz. We arrived a few hours before check-in time, but the delightful woman at the front desk was able to get us in to...

The hotel is well placed in and close to Sachsenhausen, a leafy area in south of Frankfurt. A short walk from the hotel (in the south direction) are local coffee shops and nice cafes with the local supermarkets (that are often open till 10PM). Go a few minutes north and you get to the river which is nice to walk...

We were frantically searching for a hotel after finding our promised accommodation elsewhere, through a service, was a disaster. So here we were, two 66 year old folks in Frankfurt, with no place to stay. My husband found this hotel through Lonely Planet, and even though the city was full with tourists for the big car show, we got the...

Good location as the train station and tram services are nearby. Local shops are nearby also which makes it convenient. I did not like the stairs you have to get to reception and room. Good restaurants nearby.

Hotel Kautz is in the museum precinct of Frankfurt and is also within easy walking distance to the 'old town'. From the airport we took the train to the main station and the the number 16 tram which has a stop close to the hotel. The rooms are pretty basic, but the beds are comfortable. Kae, the reception manager, speaks...

This hotel is in a great location - 10 minute walk from the main station, 5 minutes from the Stadel art gallery, with lots of good cafes and shops just around the corner. The hotel itself was ok - good breakfast, very good sized room, and very clean. It was unremarkable, but in a good way - just as I...
