The location was excellent being a few moments walk from the Rohmer Square and Cathedral. Although on quite a busy road there wasn't too much traffic noise and we slept well.We were on the 5th floor, perhaps it would have been noisier on lower floors....More
We were very happy with our stay at the Miramar as it was a very hot few days and the room was always cool. It was so near to the main square (Romer) so not too far to walk in the heat. The breakfast selection...More
Best location you can ask for in Frankfurt - it's a quick walk to the major tourist attractions and restaurants, as well as the river. Helpful front desk staff that spoke English (when my bit of German wasn't helpful). Rooms are quaint and comfortable, small...More

We got the train which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the airport. The hotel would be able to order you a taxi but the hotel is very well placed for public transport

Plenty of options, but my favourite (and it's fast and cheap) is to take a train to the Hauptbahnhof then change to the U-Bahn and go to the Rom/Domer station (U4 line or U5 line - sorry, can't remember!!). The hotel is about 200 mtrs NW from the station.
You could also exit the Haupbahnhof (main station) and take a Strassenbahn (tram) from directly outside. The numbers 12 and 11 (I think) go to the Romer. Don't go into the Romerberg itself (very pretty medieval square) but walk opposite until you reach Berlinerstarsse (about 60 mtrs) then turn right for 100 mtrs and the hotel is right there.
The ticket machines at the Airport station (as they are everywhere) are very easy (they have several language options at the very first screen) and will take a credit card if you don't have Euros. They also give change from your Euro notes, and accept Euro coins too. You'll need a "Frankfurt short trip" ticket (about Eur 5.20) which will be valid on both options mentioned above, or if you want to explore a little more you could buy a day ticket (about 9.90 Euros) that allows unlimited travle in the city and suburbs until about 04:00 the next day.
A big plus is that just about everyone in Frankfurt speaks English so you won't have a problem. BUT, of course, they like you to at least try their language, so maybe try a simple intro first "Entschuldigen, Ich hab nur ein bisschen Deutsch. Haben Sie viellicht Englisch?" will work ("excuse me, I only speak a little German. Do you speak English perhaps?").
Or you could try a taxi (30-40 Euros).
Hope this helps!!
