This is a pleasant hotel in a lovely position on the banks of the Rhine and ideally situated for the quay for the river cruisers. There is a large car park which is free for hotel guests. Bedroom with balcony and Rhine view was comfortable if a little on the small side & could possibly benefit from a little updating. It is worth noting that bedrooms are not air conditioned (a fan is provided) and there is no lift at the property. The owners are very willing to help with luggage but the stairs could pose a problem for those less able. There is an excellent choice at the buffet breakfast. The restaurant has lovely views across the Rhine to the castle on the opposite bank. The menu catered for all needs, the quality good and overall good value for money. It was however very badly

Found and booked this hotel on the internet. Looked good in the photos and is very pleasant. Slightly out of town but not a problem. The rooms are clean and a good size, but being west facing do get hot in the afternoon (was 30’ while we were there) but a fan is provided and the hotel keep the blinds down while you are out so that helps. There is some noise from the trains on the opposite bank of the river but all local hotels will suffer from that. Immediately opposite the quay for river cruises and plenty of parking. Preferred Assmanshausen as quieter and less touristy than Rudesheim, which is very tacky and full of souvenir shops on the front. The restaurant is of a good size and busy with tourists and locals by the look of it. All the food was excellent in both

This was the first hotel my wife and I stayed at after arriving in Germany for a belated honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff treated us like we were their only customer. The room was clean and spacious and the view from the hotel was exceptional. It sits along the Rhine in a quient little town and has a great view of a castle across the river, which made the meals in the restaurant a great experience. The hotel restaurant is fantastic and had the best rump steak with krauterbutter that I had during our 2 week stay in Germany. If you are taking a Rhine cruise, the dock is right across the road. Probably the best part of our stay was the customer service. The staff went out of their way to accommodate any request

I have stayed at this hotel twice over a 6 year time period. Both times were excellent - you can't beat the location, which sits directly on the Rhine with a beautiful view of a castle. This time, the man who checked us in was extremely nice, giving us a suggested afternoon of activities. The tram up the hill is close by, giving you a wonderful view of the valley, then a nice hike through the forest to Rudesheim. The trip back is a 4 minute train ride to Assmannshausen (which is a beautiful town, in itself).

We stumbled across this place a few years ago and keep returning. The view is fabulous, and though we have not stayed at the hotel, we thoroughly enjoy the restaurant. Great food, great pastries and spirits, and we love the Ruedesheimer Cafe, made of a shot of Asbach flamed in the cup, doused with coffee, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. Especially great on a cold day - and we have lots of them now! To find this place, drive through Ruedesheim north along the Rhein, and the next village is Assmannshausen. The hotel/restaurant is on the parallel road to the B 42, can't miss it.

We stayed a midweek at this wonderful 3 star hotel with 4 star service, yes we liked this property from the moment we arrived and drived the very big parking lot near the hotel, it was huge and place enough!Checking in went very quickly and our room was the way we expect it with a frontal view on the Rhine river...it was excellent! Another thing that i will remember long is their tasty restaurant, we never eat at another business because it could not be better, the food was just delicious not to mention the dessert card....woow! Yes, i can recommend this adress to everyone, the owner and his lovely wife will tell you everything about the things to see and do in the neighbehoud(many castles to visit) and Rudesheim only 5 km away so do not doubt about it just go, you will like it

The position alone overlooking the Rhine right opposite one of the nicest castles is good but the hotel itself is superb. The furnishings throughout the hotel are a touch of luxury, modern but with quality & style. Paul the owner and his team are helpful and friendly and the food was amazingly good both for breakfast and dinner. We were a party of 18 on half board, dinner was a set 3 course menu and everyone enjoyed each and every course served. The alfresco terrace in front of the restaurant has beautifully tended flowers and plants and a lovely spot to watch the river traffic going by. As with many hotels along the Rhine the railway lines are never very far away but my bed was so comfortable I had a great nights sleep. The in room free wifi was also quick and easy to use.

I and friends stayed there during German GP weekend. Thus early starts and late(ish) returns. Location. Just separated by a service and the main through road from the Rhein with a beautiful castle nestling in the trees high up on the opposite bank visible it is enclosed by a busy (mainly) rail freight line on the opposite side. The rail traffic is reasonably frequent throughout. It didn't bother me. The large terrace restaurant faces the river. You dine under vines above you. Food was good as was the wine. Family owned. The only minor blot on the service was our group set off at 5:15am and the owner forgot to reset the hot water timer. Net result was a cold(ish) invigorating early hours shower!!! The owner was genuinely apologetic.

We were on a long car trip and stopped off here for one night. It was late season and so reasonably quiet in the village (although the hotel was full). Excellent value room and good breakfast (could do with more fruit!). Cosy and warm indoor restaurant with a lovely open terrace for nicer weather. The village behind was very pleasant to walk through in the evening and a longer walk through the vineyards towering overhead was fabulous, with splendid views of the Rhine in all directions. Owners couldn't be more helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel in terms of value and location. The village is about 5 km outside the larger town of Rüdesheim.
