Youth hostels historically have shown a habit of being hard to find and this one certainly honours the tradition -the final approach took me some lengthy hunting around the spot, even though using a GPS. This is because the site is tucked away in a leafy hilly woodland setting that looks and feels amazingly close to nature considering it is...

The rooms are quite small, but they are clean and comfortable. There is a lockable cupboard, but other than this, storage space is minimal. Communal areas are bright and modern, with Internet access in the lobby area. The food was average; nothing special. The man who greeted our very large group (about 70 people) was very welcoming and friendly. Bear...

My husband and I booked two beds in a mixed dorm. When we got there there were only single sex dorms available but the staff was very helpful. After a call to a manager we were upgraded to a room with two single beds at no additional cost. Breakfast was average. Right next to the forest for lovely walks.

This hostel was alright. The nearby restaurants were great and catered to my needs. The hostel was quite cramped though and at time felt like one was staying in someone else's home. Nonetheless, service was great with clean rooms. Overall good.

This is probably not that economical for a Youth Hostel but it had the cleanest, starched and ironed sheets I have seen in any accommodation for a long time. We stayed in shared bunk room of 4 and although the ensuite shower was small, it was hot and clean. Dinner and breakfast were basic but cheap and pretty good value...

Too far from the center of Bonn. The only bus going straight from hostel to Main Central station has gaps about 20-30 minutes or more in weekends. When I checked-in, I was surprised to pay extra 10 euros for my accomodation - a membership fee or something like that. Also, no free wi-fi, you should pay about 1,5 euros for...

Asked for a double room, paid the full 75€ only to receive a room with a single bunk bed. Upon complaining, they simply said that the real double rooms were sold out. But they never mentioned it before charging my credit card, which I find unacceptable. It's a shady way of doing business. Everything is clean, but the furniture is...

It has proper rooms, is very clean but: Is qite expensive thinking how far it is. Food is quite simple a basic, so don deserve the price. Is far from town and buses are just a few, of course you ´ve to take a taxi during nights... Internet conection is extremely expensive.

The problem is that this hostel is located on the Venusberg which is a small hill a bit outside from the city center of Bonn. This leads to the great disadvantage that it takes about 20 minutes by bus to the center and there is a bus only every 30 minutes. Although there exists a night bus in Bonn it...

Right, I went to this hostel as part of a trip, and I think it was pretty average. The hostel itself is situated opposite a Roman Catholic retreat, which always looked calming and peaceful, especially at night, with the beautiful illuminated star. It is surrounded by trees, which can be a bit spooky at night. You walk down the tarmacked...
